Do youse think back to back titles is on?

(Oldest Posts First)

Don't worry I am not going to mention five in a row I got stung by that last year.
But I would be chuffed with this that is what marks a great team Kerry were the last team to it and it would put them on a par with them.

To me it is dependent on whether cluxton retires I think he is that important.
The goalkeeper backups are not up to the same level.
Alan Brogan had a great year as well but at least we have mannion and EOG to come back so hopefully we should be covered there.

Delighted to be a Dub at the moment I think I will buy a few more retro jersey's.!

We are the only team that can do it next year ha ha
Honestly looking to digest the win , enjoy it , look forward to club championships before even thinking of next year , you can not enjoy the Now if your living in the Tomorrow , I know its a posting forum and about opinions but honestly not posting again until next week at least , would rather look at replays of Sunday than think about next year , just for the moment .

Fair point Damo....I brought the 1995 retro jersey online for the buzz of nostalgia and as a reminder to enjoy it while it lasts. The wait from 95-11 was torture!

I'm sure Jim Gavin is making his plans so I don't think it's out of order commenting on it. I know traditionally Kerry usually bounce back but for the life of me I can't see them beating Dublin in a potential AISF next year. The new cork trainer should be planning to beat Kerry in Munster final. Mayo will be there again and would be favourites to make AIF. Off course anything can happen but I'd be more confident of retaining than in 14.

Who cares about next year?!!!!

The O'Byrne Cup will come quick enough and then we can look forward to mounting a decent defence of our title.

Let's just all bask in the very glory of it all!

Ha! get another thread going for the treble!

We had a very good Kerry poster on here called Triona! I think Liam dubbed him that

It stood for 3inarow - back when Kerry had their chance

If you're reading this. I hope you're well Triona

Well all things going as per expectations, Mayo would meet Kerry in an AI Semi Final next year.
So the Dubs wouldn't have to beat BOTH Mayo and Kerry by the looks of things, as we are in the other half of the draw. .

Personally, I would not bother trying to win the league next season. Give some of our seasoned players an extended break.
We need to avoid burn-out.
Time to bed in some of the younger squad players. The regulars could return a couple of months later than usual.

I am sure Jim is already thinking of those options and how to have us peak at the right time, but we definitely need to see some of our players fully recharged for 2017.

Looking forward to seeing how we perform next yr after winning back2back.
Denis Bastick will be gone but rest of the panel look like staying on.
We could also have both Jack and ROC back. So plenty of options.

We will enjoy what the Dubs have achieved this year but with this Dublin team anything is possible.

Atha Cliath Avu.
