Minor Hurling Final

Clonkill have agreed to nothing as far as there concerned they are playing the minor final on Sunday .they would not have risked playing eggerton or Mitch on Wednesday if they were
Starting on Sunday and that's coming from prominent clonkill people, these are rumours put out to unsettle things and they are coming from the one club.

well whatever happens, the two senior clubs will have it the way it suits them.
why wouldn't Robbie Cornally referee the minor semi final? Isn't he doing adult games all the time?

It appears neither Clonkill or Raharney will play what a farce the county board have brought on.As for the person who said play your own grade first.Tell me would Raharney have won the county title last year without the Doyles or run Kk so close in Leinster?

Anyone know what will happen in the event of the clubs not playing?

I don't see on the Raharney Facebook page where it says they are refusing to play the minor game. They are still requesting the fixture be changed which I don't think will happen so both games to go ahead as fixed methinks. Hard on the minor players involved for sure. Raharney will probably suffer most, not sure if any Clonkill minors start for the seniors ?

Minor game still going ahead no postponement , on raharney Facebook page they say they have only requested in writing for game to be postponed.
I don't know the rules regarding this is there anything in the rulebook ?
Should raharney have requested before Friday ?
Is there a time limit on requesting such ?
Raharney knew since last Sunday they were in both finals
Surely a rule that minor's play own grade first.
Talking to clonkill people this evening and as far as they are concerned minor game going ahead they are training this evening as a team.
There is no notice posted from clonkill anywhere .
If the Doyle's play minor game are senior subs going to be happy if they are handed a senior jersey after.
County board have only been sent a letter requesting a postponement according to raharney.
County board have made no comment to such. We don't even know if they have received it.
It is now Friday night and raharney are up in a heap , they have 3 adult teams so have clonkill, there lyes the problem

It reads both teams have informed the county board they are not in a position to field. Raharney also informed them off this on Monday. There will be no game. That would require 2 teams to play it. Whether the fixture stays in place is up to county board but in terms of a game there will not be one. The county board should make supporters aware of this not that too many will be in early with the rugby on anyway

I can't understand one thing when Michael McHugh was minor secretary he used common sense.Where are our minor board now surely this is there responsibility not the senior board.Neither team want to play, surely an accommodation can be reached but they better take up their responsibility quick.

This farce has happened because clubs have refused to deal with the big issue all year - the minor board haven't a clue how to run competitions
Head in the sands stuff.
If the clubs got together and insisted on a proper structure for the competitions at the start of the year then this wouldn't happen

Word is if both minor teams don't field they are being thrown out and the minor final will be played between the 2 beaten semi finalists at a later date, the county board have obviously consulted with croke park and have there backing with the rulebook , the programme would have been compiled and printed midweek also so that's another issue when it boils down to it its 2 clubs v county board and croke park I'd say.

What will happen when the 2 losing semi finalists refuse to step in to a meaningless final.

Clonkill and raharney have enough players to field without making a big deal on this , they are doing the dictating and have been doing so for years.it is a great occasion for minor and senior to be out out the one day ,dosent happen to often ,. County board would be right to come down heavy on both clubs if they dont field .

If t that happens minor 2015 will be null and void. Both finalists will probably be banned from all competitions they are left in this year including u-21 and probably a ban from minor competition next year and year after and huge fines imposed too.I am just thinking of all the other minor players on each side are they only there to fill up numbers on there teams ? 4 players and 2 not starting on there senior team is what this is about and from talking to other hurling people from both clubs not everyone is happy over it. In reality hurling is in a poor position in Westmeath look at next year championship in round robin Westmeath, Carlow, Offaly, kerry with winners playing Galways and runners up play laois
Offaly and Kerry would be fancied to come out and with u-21s drawn v Kilkenny its not looking great the minors v Wexford can't see Wexford being caught ever again like this year.now you roll in what's going on at club leval with this carry on and its making Michael Ryan's job very very hard especially with the senior footballers getting to Leinster Final and favoured with a good draw this year.

Predictions for tomorrow for senior ?
No noise from clonkill , big noise from raharney over minor
Could be a few red cards dished out too
Barry Kelly will take no messing he will stamp down early let them know who the rule maker is
Could be a few clashing on the sidelines too I'm sure there will be plenty of tension over the minor
I am taking clonkill by 5-8 points could be completely wrong but they hold all the aces by letting raharney do all the fuss making
Have to agree with earlier posts , county board will come down heavy and will probably release a statement to same come tomorrow evening

Will it be refixed, will it be void or will the semi finalists be reinstated
