Unlikely kildare will beat Dublin, rarely happens, we'll give them a game but as always a quality scoring forward will seal it for the dubs. Dub v meath final with dublin to win it again, i know the dubs are past caring about leinster but a new manager will be determined to have a cup under his belt and it will be easy enough for them with the squad they have. qualifier route for kildare and draw permitting a few decent nights out but i expect we'll end the year without taking a scalp, nothing new but we are a competitive side who people won't really want in a non croker venue in the qualifers. switec (Kildare) - Posts: 525 - 05/10/2012 13:53:01 1278547 Link 0 |
Look lads Dublin are a good outfit no denying that but they are not unbeatable either while I expect them to be better than this year after the post sam syndrome. lilywhitemagic (Kildare) - Posts: 1693 - 05/10/2012 14:50:30 1278605 Link 0 |
I presume that next summer some of the Dubs & Royals will be on saying Kildare were being presumptious assuming they would be playing Dublin in a SEMI. KELF (Kildare) - Posts: 775 - 05/10/2012 15:42:39 1278660 Link 0 |
Not a hope of them beating Dublin.Add minor U21 to that.We are miles behind the top table.Quater finals seen as a great achievement. dubya (Kildare) - Posts: 423 - 06/10/2012 20:28:23 1279264 Link 0 |
i fancy kildare to make the final and beat dublin. probably mcgeeneys last year and lets be honest dublin won't be too motivated about winning leinster. BettystownRoyal (Meath) - Posts: 3353 - 12/10/2012 16:34:36 1282249 Link 0 |

Offaly - Laois final. if_in_doubt (Kildare) - Posts: 3643 - 15/10/2012 19:12:29 1283596 Link 0 |
I have a feeling myself Kelf that Laois will put it up to anyone in leinster on that side of the draw based on the fact that most teams peak in year 3 of a new manager and this is year 3 for Laois under Mc Nulty with Meath/Wexford/Offaly/Louth/Dublin all new manager's It could well be a repeat of the 2003 final 10 years on.Its hard to call but like I said I hope Kildare finally get the Dublin monkey off their back and a bit of revenge for 'the free of 2011' and hope some other county is walking the steps of the hoganstand to collect the Delaney cup. lilywhitemagic (Kildare) - Posts: 1693 - 15/10/2012 19:29:50 1283607 Link 0 |

Be good to see new faces in the O Byrne cup and of course the 'new jersey' lilywhitemagic (Kildare) - Posts: 1693 - 15/10/2012 20:06:05 1283648 Link 0 |
don't think its make or break for kildare next year, there are only 2 trophies, leinster and sam and we are not going to win either-dublin will win leinster in second gear--expectations being low would do us no harm, think we can have a decent leaue and a run in the qualifiers and it won't be too bad for us. switec (Kildare) - Posts: 525 - 16/10/2012 13:13:22 1283907 Link 0 |

Laois were too negative to beat the dubs when the dubs were there for the taking. McNulty has a decent side made out of them but they will be as bad as ourselves next year. Miles behind the dubs and probably a step behind Meath. I would regard Westmeath as having more young talent than Laois and Kildare put together, with the likes of James Dolan, Conor Egan etc.. John Heslin and Denis Glennon would get on any team in the country. I think if they got a good coaching setup and a bit of team spirit, theyd be number 2 in the province.
