(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Alright lads its been awhile but I thought I drop in seen as the draw has been very favourable for Dublin and it looks like a semi final against Kildare unless yous can't beat Offaly. Anyway lets roll on next summer when we beat you guys again haha

Unlikely kildare will beat Dublin, rarely happens, we'll give them a game but as always a quality scoring forward will seal it for the dubs. Dub v meath final with dublin to win it again, i know the dubs are past caring about leinster but a new manager will be determined to have a cup under his belt and it will be easy enough for them with the squad they have. qualifier route for kildare and draw permitting a few decent nights out but i expect we'll end the year without taking a scalp, nothing new but we are a competitive side who people won't really want in a non croker venue in the qualifers.

Look lads Dublin are a good outfit no denying that but they are not unbeatable either while I expect them to be better than this year after the post sam syndrome.
They also have a new manager for 2013 and Gavin might need time to find the right blend between the team thats left under Gilroy and the under 21's he wants to bring through. Kildare will have played Dublin in the league probably in croker for the spring series which will stand to kildare as well that will be a good indicator.
I really feel Kildare have a good chance at reaching the final in 2013 Dublin's streak in holding the Delaney cup may come to an end next year and who knows Kildare might be the team that breaks it here's hoping.

I presume that next summer some of the Dubs & Royals will be on saying Kildare were being presumptious assuming they would be playing Dublin in a SEMI.

So right now everybody note: It was a Dub who used the words !!!!!!

We Biffos won't assume anything just yet !!!!

Not a hope of them beating Dublin.Add minor U21 to that.We are miles behind the top table.Quater finals seen as a great achievement.

i fancy kildare to make the final and beat dublin. probably mcgeeneys last year and lets be honest dublin won't be too motivated about winning leinster.

Jasus lads I'm mentioned more than mcgeeney on hear :)
Anyway for what it's worth i hope if this does happen that ye win it and set up possible final with meath as it would mean more to either county than Dublin """,i said this before draw and ill stand by it

Thank you Royaldunne as you might have seen on this forum I have posted a link to Kildare V Meath saga 97' and 98 what leinster means
I to hope another county in leinster breaks that run thats the Dubs have over the Delaney cup because it means a hell of a lot to other counties and leinster has become boring it would be good for it if some other county wins it again thanks royaldunne who know's maybe a Kildare /Meath final.

Offaly - Laois final.

Bookies would have a field day.

Nest year should be very interesting.

A lot of people reckon it's make or break for Kildare, although quite a few said that at the start of this year and last.

Laois starting to look like a good outfit, really put it up to an admittedly below par Dublin team.

New managers for Offaly, Meath, Wexford and Dublin, and it's anyones guess as to how things in those counties may pan out.

I've no doubt the likes of ourselves or Meath would want a Leinster more than Dublin. The Rolling Stones said it best...

I have a feeling myself Kelf that Laois will put it up to anyone in leinster on that side of the draw based on the fact that most teams peak in year 3 of a new manager and this is year 3 for Laois under Mc Nulty with Meath/Wexford/Offaly/Louth/Dublin all new manager's It could well be a repeat of the 2003 final 10 years on.Its hard to call but like I said I hope Kildare finally get the Dublin monkey off their back and a bit of revenge for 'the free of 2011' and hope some other county is walking the steps of the hoganstand to collect the Delaney cup.
Does anybod know when the venue's are announced for the leinster championship 2013? and the O Byrne cup draw thanks in advance.

O'Byrne Cup is usually the end of this month isn't it?

Not sure when the venues will announced though, imagine we'll be on in Portlaoise, unless Leinster GAA decide to put us as a double header with the Offaly - Kilkenny hurlers, which then might mean O'Connor Park?

Be good to see new faces in the O Byrne cup and of course the 'new jersey'
really if in doubt would kildare/offaly not be put up in HQ with Dublin V westmeath/carlow as a double header of quarter finals?

don't think its make or break for kildare next year, there are only 2 trophies, leinster and sam and we are not going to win either-dublin will win leinster in second gear--expectations being low would do us no harm, think we can have a decent leaue and a run in the qualifiers and it won't be too bad for us.

Laois were too negative to beat the dubs when the dubs were there for the taking. McNulty has a decent side made out of them but they will be as bad as ourselves next year. Miles behind the dubs and probably a step behind Meath. I would regard Westmeath as having more young talent than Laois and Kildare put together, with the likes of James Dolan, Conor Egan etc.. John Heslin and Denis Glennon would get on any team in the country. I think if they got a good coaching setup and a bit of team spirit, theyd be number 2 in the province.
