Sixmilebridge v Na Piarsaigh

(Oldest Posts First)

What do lads think of this? NP will be slight favs and have good forwards n tigerish backs but its on in ennis and bridge are a v balanced team, a lot of them have played county at various levels. jamie shanahan looks like he is getting back to 2012 form after his injury problems, big talent i think. and hes also a big lad, which is a bit different to what we have produced n last 3-4 with likes of kelly, collins, o donnell etc. should be a cracker!

Should be a cracking game, and a real plus for the Bridge that the game will be in Ennis. Hopefully a bog crowd and all.
Yeah, have to agree on Jamie Shanahan. Had my doubts on him earlier in the year when he was with the u-21's but he has been putting in massive performances of late and a powerhouse for the Bridge.

what do you think his best position is roashter? id say midfield form what ive seen of him but he can play at no6 and in half forward line too. he was excellent in croke aprk last year for the minors and has a bullet of a shot from place balls. hopefully fitzy will give him a run out in the league

For the bridge, I'd probably play him in midfiled as he would get on a lot of ball there and it also gives him a chance to roam forward. He has an instinct for scoring so ultimately he may end up in half forward line where he would also be a good option for winning puck-outs.
Pretty sure he was on Davy's extended panel this year so if he kepps playing the way he is, then he will be pushing hard for a place next year.

SMB will be v disappiinted with their display but NAP were very good and i think they will be hard beat for the AI. Bridge playing 7 games in 8 weeks, which is a farce but overall i think NAP would still have prevailed, but 18 point margin is unusual as most teams in munster are very evenat this level.
