ballwall, i am affraid Down's quest in this game will fall short as we are under new management and have some great U-21's in the squad. Down should survive relegation as you will have the opportunity to be very competitive in home games against Carlow, Laois, and Westmeath.

Clare by 10 pts.

Hi Downman great to see a bit of banter. Lets hope its an enjoyable game and both teams learn from it.
We admire the northern teams like yerselves and Antrim and ye have always shouted for Clare in the big
hurling games. We really would love if ye won something big in the North in hurling some day just like
ye were happy for us when Clare made the bong awaited breakthrough in hurling after 81 years from their
previous one! I will never forget the old system that existed in the championship where the Ulster Champions
went into the All Ireland semifinal. They were great innocent games, like Antrim in 1989 beating Offaly to
get to the hurling final, then ye played a few semifinals like against offaly I think in 1995 before we won the all
ireland final! Id love ye to get promoted with us or Antrim! Wexford while a good team were lucky in 1996
and didnt dominate the decade with another all ireland or provincial titles like Clare did. So Down or Antrim
could count themselves unlucky looking at the way a so called traditional county like Wexford just got one all ireland
in their dominant period.
Clare should win but it could be close as remember the sparrow will be trying out new lads against a Down team
who are probably settled by their means! Having said all that I am not sure if Sparrow is the man for the job
and still reckon Mike Mac was wronged! The sparrow while a great player seems to be trying out new lads that
I thought had failed in other seasons. I dont think he is tapping into much of the u21 panel as I would have liked
Having said that Downman I cant feel too sorry for ye in the hurling either as ye had agreat football team in 1991
and 1994 that won two all irelands like our hurling team did in 95 and 97, and acourse been respectful to ye fully
ye had a great team back in the sixties aswell had ye not? So ye have more football all irelands than Clare have hurling
all irelands me thinks! I remember our football team playing a great game against ye in 1993 in the league in Ennis
in Division 1 when Clare were one of the top football teams from the previous year 1992 after beating kerry in the Munster
Final (will we ever forget that either that was the start of Clare in hurling or football!), when a 14 man Clare team beat
Down. Those were great days ye had won the all ireland in 1991 and had all the stars we had won munster in 1992
and had stars. Alas Clare football is now in Div 4, ye are doing much better though.

That said Downman who will win Sunday Kilmurray Ibrickane (Clare) or Portlaoise in the All Ireland Football semifinal?

ballwall if the feile is on in July you could always stay in Miltown Malbay for the Willie Clancy International Trad Music festival. Thats sa great place to be!
You could hang out in kilkee at the seaside if we get the long overdue hot summer or Doonbeg and take in the scenes there!
And many many more places such as Lahinch, Doolin. Ennis the capital for a night out any night is good craic too!
Dont forget all the family festivals that also takes place in Clare with ceol agus craic!

Think down might win this one by a point. Clare havent seemed too impressive this year in my opinion, and having witnessed down train and play i think the potential is there for an upset.
