Club Predictions 2020

(Oldest Posts First)

A small New Years Resolution for me is to go to more club games this year. I go to both football and hurling.
Who will be winning/losing in both codes in 2020?

When you go to more games, you'll find out soon enough.

I spend 6 days a week going to matches or training but cutting back on coaching this year to have a bit more time to sit/stand back and enjoy watching as a neutral. I go to games of all codes men and women. I don't go to many county games anymore so that's another place I want to make up for. Galway Supporters can be like Connacht Supporters as in a lot of them wouldn't go to a club game but I do.

The one thing I have not heard are there any new amalgamations this year?

My 2 cents:

Senior Hurling Winners; Liam Mellows or Clarinbridge
Relegated to Senior B: Portumna
Promoted to Senior A: Gort
Relegated to Intermediate: Ahascragh/Fohenagh
Promoted from Intermediate: Kilconieron or Carnmore
Relegated to Junior: Kilbeacanty
Promoted from Junior: Salthill/Knocknacarra

Senior Football Winners: Corofin
Relegated to Intermediate: St. James' / Barna
Promoted from Intermediate: Dunmore or Williamstown
Relegated to a Junior: Aran Islands
Promoted from Junior: Salthill/Knocknacarra

Only thing I will say on the football side of things is Williamstown have zero chance of promotion to senior.

It's 3 down from senior football and 1 up, trying to reduce senior to 16 teams.
Try again

Nope, it's 2 up and 2 down again.

100%, 18 Senior in both codes works with the 6 x 3 round robin, 16 is an easier number (4x4) but with more games comes more €€€.
For all the dissenters that proclaimed MLB v Oughterard was going to be a dead rubber of a final they should give a written apology to both Clubs and the Football Committee. If memory serves me right Ollie Turner captioned it well as "the best Intermediate county final in the history of Galway Football"
