I was in Downpatrick for the Carryduff-Bredagh and Loughinisland-Castlewellan matches on Saturday.

Castlewellan as expected won with relative ease in the end. They won't be far away this year, and could make the final if they avoid Kilcoo or Burren along the way.

The Carryduff-Bredagh derby was a great match. Some excellent points scored by both teams. The Down minors on the Carryduff team were excellent, they have a bright future ahead of them. Carryduff can consider themselves very unlucky to not come away with the victory having scored something like 10 points in a row in the second half.

Anyone heading to any matches this weekend?

I think I'll take a spin to Castlewellan for the Carryduff-Bosco's/Loughinisland-Annaclone games.

Going for an East Down double. Carryduff & Loughinisland to win.

What way does relegation work in the SFC? Is it tied in with the league as in other Ulster counties?

Sorry nmsmithy, can't help with your question.

Going to the marshes for Duff v Bredagh. Can't call it but I hope it's as good as the previous game and it should be a tasty one. An Ríocht will win the other semi.
