Good luck to the Galgets tomorrow. £2 invested with PP as suggested. Hope they can pull it of.

I would have thought the same as last year......certainly there hasn't been any other names mentioned

More importantly best of luck to Ballygalget.....a big ask but no better club to turn the tables on favourites, they may lose but it certainly won't be due to lack of effort

I hope ballygalget win this. I am football man and was disappointed for kilcoo last week. The game last week was tough stuff and kilcoo could have won it. Poor discipline was factor in the defeat. Good luck...

Let's hope a bit of thot goes into picking a management team this year and that a good coach is brought in

Beaten by a better team, absolutely no complaints - good 2017 for Ballygalget, time for a rest.

Ulster Club Senior Hurling Championship Final
Ballygalget 1-12 v 2-21 Slaughtneil

I thought this was a decent match; no complaints at all about the result. Slaughtneil are a serious outfit and deserve all the plaudits they get for defending their title. Will be interesting to see how they fare in the All Ireland club series now.

Did anyone go early and watch the camogie final.. - was a cracking game!! Loughiel will be gutted having conceded that late goal.

Funny, I thought there would have been more at this double-header than there was.

Seen majority of the camogie myself and it was a good game for the nutral supporter.

As for the main event, better team won - simple as that and dont rule SN making it through to the final on March 17th

Went to the game myself and TBH Ballygalget were making a right fist of it for most of the first half albeit SN were getting their scores easier.
The first goal was a bit of a blow, but big Magic just mishit a simple enough free and they almost instantly went down the field and scored a point. A four point margin rather than the 2 is should have been.
Also the second SN goal was the fault of silly play by a Ballygalget forward running into traffic rather than feeding the forwards and the resultant clearance left fisher one on one in his own box and when the big lad caught it, there was only one outcome. Big Crowe wasn't far off saving the penalty TBF.
Strangely enough Ballygalget got themselves a few goal chances to close the gaps, but another mishit free from Magic was dropped by Danny Toner who should have done better and then wee John hit one into the keeper who done well all the same before Magic belted a free off the crossbar and was finally finished by Baille, Conor Doran had another goal chance as well.
But in the middle of all that SN were picking off their points some gifted due to poor short puck outs.
Worthy winners and will bother the Munster champs in Feb.
