Can see this year being the most one sided intermediate final for many a year. Carrick are by far the best team in intermediate this year and you have to fear for whoever goes up with them in senior next year. Carrick by 10-12 points in the final.

Carrick could be too cocky , yes a good team but aughnamullen will hit them hard and strong . Final is a different game and from what I here carrick as a poor record against aughnamullen in championship football , so don't write aughnamullen off . They will fight too the bone for each other

Either you're an Aughmullen man with blinkers on or haven't been watching much intermediate this year, Carrickmacroos are just in a different league(and will be in a few months(!)). Of course anything can happen but Aughmullen had a tough task today and can't see them having enough to get over Carrickmacross with the role they are on.

Look fair play to Aughnamullen. I didn't expect them to match Toome for heart pride and passion. They did and a lot more. They outworked Toome all over the park and deserved the win. Not many teams has kept James Wilson to 1 point from play in 64 or 65 mins of football. Management had their homework done. Well done and well deserved. Carrick look unstoppable. Classy well drilled outfit from back to front. Hard to see them being beaten but it comes down to 1 hr of ball. Anything can happen. Everyone expects Carrick to win at a canter..... aughnamullen can sit back and relax and maybe pull a rabbit out of the hat. It's a no lose situation for them.

Looks like I was completely wrong about Scotstown walking to another Championship! Delighted to see two new teams in the final

That was probably the best double header I've seen in 20 years. Full of drama, passion, good/bad football, simply spectacular. To those who say the GAA is dead, jog on!!

"watched" the scostown ballybay game on twitter. How can ballybay cough up 2-2 in last 4 mins of injury time? I'd say there was some drama?

Cracking endings to both games in clones today. Latton had looked comfortable enough in their match but goals were the winning of it for magheracloone. Tommy was quiet all match but won it when it mattered.
Scotstown were poor for 63 minutes. Ballybay were by far the best team. But what a crazy last 5 mins of added time. 2-2 to get a draw and live to fight another day.

I was at the game and it was just unbelievable! Scotstown didn't score for 33 mins of 2nd half, were 8 down 3 mins into injury time and still managed a draw!! I think that has to go down as the greatest 'get out of jail' of all time.

Can't see Scotstown winning anything on that display today.

The first game latton firmly lost the game on the line, silly needless changes. But fair play to magheracloone they scored some great goals in the second half and never give up. James Ward and Paudie McMahon pushing further up the field really changed the game.

On the second game ballybay were brilliant and don't know how scotstown robbed them of victory.
The one player who really led the fight for Scotstown was Rory Beggan he was the only player with urgency in the second half and he deserves great praise for it.

McCarville swung the game and scotstown celebrated like the won the county title.

You would imagine scotstown won't be as bad the next day but Kieran Hughes injury could be vital. Ballybay deserved the spoils but football can be a cruel game.

Beggan was playacting if you ask me. He ran the length of field to insist on taking a sideline ball inside the oppositions 40 and then made an absolute ham of it and passed it straight to a Ballybay man. He is going to be caught out on his runs up the field. I don't mind him doing them if they are on, but it just got ridiculous yesterday.

Not one Scotstown player was taken the game to Ballybay he showed urgency that no other player showed. He led the fight to ballybay. I wouldn't agree with a keeper doing it normally.
