Proposed New Hurling Rules

The new rules in hurling to be trialed by the universitys shortly are to be welcomed.
However some of the proposed changes are a little baffling. As in soccer the linesmen will cover one half of the field. So if the ball goes over the line on the side opposite him that he is covering how can he decide in tight exchanges from so far away who's line ball it is?
The other proposal concerns line balls aswel.
They want a line ball to be worth 2 points.
That was experiment with many years ago and was quickly withdrawn. Why would they think that it would work and be accepted now?
There will be much talk about the new proposed rules and should be given every chance.
