Any truth in the rumours Mayo hammered you's in a challenge game ? 15 points in it I believe

Don't know, but I've read Roscommon beat you handy enough last week in a challenge. They must be pretty good in the west.

Lost by 2 is the rumour I've heard although Kildare seemingly dominated

@jimski Heard it was the opposite unfortunately. Heard the lads were training heavy the previous couple of nights and were wrecked. 2 point defeat not bad given the heavy legs

Bigwilly - I meant Kildare lost by 2 rather than by 15 so we are in agreement.

would like to see smith come in for in for brophy against the dubs, smithy just has that scoring touch and he is a big game player. brophy did well against offaly but i think smithy brings more to the cause. interesting to see what team lines out and whether seanie gets a start. this is my team to start against the dubs
1-donnellan
2- p.kelly
3-m.foley
4-mc grillen
5-e.doyle
6-callaghan
7-bolton
8-daryl flynn
9-daniel flynn
10-cribben
11-n.kelly
12-e o'flaherty
13-j.doyle
14-o'connor
15-smith

i think it will be alot closer than the league game but i expect the dubs to prevail with a couple to spare, overall they're more superior and advanced than our boys

Personally I think a full forward line of 13.Doyle 14.Smith 15.Johnson is much better and dangerous than 13.Doyle 14.O Connor 15.Brophy. Just my opinion lads have a nice day and see you in 2 weeks 6 days.

If Kildare want this bad enough they have every chance. It could well be a lot closer than people think, we have a lot of young lads who are only experiencing championship for the first time. Hope theres a good crowd and atmosphere for this one.

What other sports do you think would be cheaper carburyhill? Do you think a semi-final in the RDS or the Aviva would be cheaper? And they're rarely if ever double-headers.

I'd play Smith instead of Johnson every time. I think he's unlucky to not be in there considering he had a good year for us last year and at club level until he got injured with the sash. I don't see any future in the tomás o Connor full forward from the start thing. Maybe after 50 minutes as an impact sub.

When was the last time the Aviva was sold out for a soccer match who goes to watch a league of Ireland game In the rugby there is only 5 to 6 game a year in the Aviva and now they are Struggling to sell the premium/corporate tickets this year because of the cost.

People give out with having games in croke park with no atmosphere the main reason why people dont go is the price of tickets. The Gaa said there were 35 thousand at the last double header it was more like 15/20 thousand. Double header or not €30 is way to much and for anyone to think differ need a good dose of a reality check this is a problem that is only going to get worse make my words.

Dublin to win easily enough. No question.

If we look at both teams last championship outings, Dublin murdered a team who were recently promoted to Div 1...in 2nd gear. Kidare beat a Division 4 team by six.

As they say your only as good as your last game and thats why Ive judged both teams on just that.

Dubs by 5 +

@ConnollyDub This playing is second gear myth is a load of nonsense imo. Describe playing in 2nd gear do they stop during the game and have a cup of tea and let the opposition play on or something? Dublin i think scored 2-20 that day thats not playing in so called 2nd gear. Ridiculous statement to come out with. Anyway i expect Dublin to win but i don't think it's going to be a hammering as you suggest its going to be. I reckon Kildare will still be in the game up to 50 to 55 mins, and then Dublin will show their class and will pull away and win by 5 points. But sure if the Dubs only win by 5 then they'll be only playing in 2nd gear won't they?

This is gonna be a close game with the kildare youngsters to make an impact. Cribben,Brophy,Flynn and Kelly are vital. Not so sure about O'Connor full forward though. I wonder will Seanie Johnston start.

I hope not. Smithy is more reliable.
