I can't agree with Ger Monans comments about being in no rush for the refixing of the final. The clubs are playing away every week and mid week in some cases so the players are hardly resting. The clubs will want to get into championship training now, so better to get it played as soon as possible.

What do people think? Are we good enough to defeat Antrim in this final or does it depend on having Magic and everyone else injury free to do it?

Bricktop I imagine the manager knows better than any one else when it would be best to play the USH Final. Playing it would mean even more training for the lads who as you have said are still playing club matches. Think Gerard Monan has shown he knows what he is doing being the only Down manager to win Christy Ring. I think we should all respect his assessment...and from what I hear the players agree. Think we can beat Antrim if we start well on the day and remember they are not the great hurling force they are portrayed to be. Good luck to all whenever the game is.

Isn't it there because of city of culture? No problem to me for it to be in Derry as a one off.

I hear only 5 players turned up for training on Wednesday night. Paul Flynn was able to make it from Waterford but the rest of the lads must have been too far away..

Just scrap it this year lads. Be happy with the CRC and the undefeated season.

I think doubletree has a point on this one - Ulster Council dont care, Antrim board cant or wont play and the Down/Antrim players at this stage probably couldnt care less, its a complete shambles

October would be the club championship.

Surely to god it could be played before then.
