Well done Clare. Ye were great. I Think Clare are the most skillfull team I have ever seen. Pure class forwards.
Both days ye were way better. The referees were the best players for Cork and helped get them back in the games.

Niall was a Clareman, who was full back on the 1980 Galway All Ireland winning team team. I thing ha passed on in recent years at a fairly young age but I could be wrong

he died in 2004 when he was 55. he was born in sixmilebridge but transfered to liam mellows in galway. he played for both clare and galway. he is unrelated to jim + david mcinerney of tulla, although he (niall) has a younger brother called jim who as far as im aware emigrated to australia many years ago.
