Brennan was not up to standard before when he and buckley failed with Clare.

as a point of info...that was Michael Brennan that was with Donie Buckley. And they ran Fermanagh very close in the qualifiers that year.

For Clare football ever to be a force we need to implement the granny rule! There must be hundreds of players in Limerick, Kerry, Galway and Cork with Clare parents who are great club players but just cant break into their respective county panels. Micheál McDermott should address this issue a.s.a.p.

Well Michael Mc Dermot has got the clare managers job now lads! He has potential to be better than his predecessors
anyway (though that wouldnt be hard! as all kerrymen mostly fooling with Clare, Paidi, Donie, John O'Keefe, Brennan)
especially when he led a Clare Club to Munster Glory! We dont need kerrymen training Clare teams all they do is spoil
whats achieved in the county, they dont want Clare beating their own Kerry!
WELL DONE KILMURRAY IBRICKANE YE HAVE SHOWN THAT CLARE CLUBS CAN BEAT KERRY CLUBS NOT JUST IN THE FIRSTROUND
OR THE SEMIFINAL OF THE MUNSTER CLUB BUT ALSO IN THE FINAL JUST LIKE 1992!

1998 was great as Doonbeg was the first football club to win the munster football club.
2004 was great as Kilmurray proved another football club could win it!
2009 is sweet magic as now a clare club has beaten a kerry/Cork team in the final!

For years in Clare Clare football clubs have beaten the best of kerry clubs in the competition
but just failed to beat them same clubs in the final! It was been afraid to beat them for silverware it had to be
as how come they could beat them outside of the final?????

Remember some years ago Kilkee beat Gaeltacht in Cooraclare in the Munster Club yet lost to them
in the Munster Final in limerick another year!
Doonbeg beat Castleisland and Laune Rangers in different years yet lost a munster final or two to kerry teams
such as Dr Crokes!
Kilmurray however have now beaten Miltown Castlemaine in the Munster Club a few years ago and now
kerins O'Rahillys in the FINAL! They have steel and didnt care it was the final though I admit last years loss
drove them on and its not often clubs get the second chance the following yewar so soon to redeem themselves
but a sign of a non fluky team!

The standard is now set in Clare! Its time for Doonbeg to win a munster title against a kerry Cork Team like Kilmurray!
But give them credit for being the first to win it and probably drive on Kilmurray and Clares standard!

Its big big time for towns like kilkee and kilrush to seriously look at themselves and ask why they with great tradition
and bigger populations than Doonbeg and Kilmurray Villages cant do it!

Kilmurray and Doonbed have now 3 Munster Titles and thats only 6 Munster Club Titles behing the hurling!
Come on Kilkee and Kilrush its time ye did something for Clare by winning Munster Club Titles and please dont go
on about all the great clubs ye beat in Munster as ye dint beat them in finals!

Its time for other big clubs and Towns like kilkee and kilrush to end this embarrassement and show pride in Clare
football like the two villages did! NO EXCUSES!
