Super manager? Why? On what basis?

It's looking like it's a two horse race between Lois Ennis and Kevin Hickey now for the Mpass job. Emmet McDonnell is being linked to a club in Offaly, not sure tho. Tomas O'Flaherta's link with Denis Glennon would leave you to think there could be some truth there. Would be a great appointment surely.

Gerry Hickey from Rhode, Ger Hickey from Shandonagh and now Kevin Hickey from Shandonagh all linked to MTP job. Surely wires crossed there?

Maybe the Hickey's are going to MTP on a triple managerial ticket!

So has he left the county setup too? Why the mass exodus from Jack's team?

Not sure if he has left the county set up. He left milltown mid championship this year due to a fallout. I'd say he'll do county & multy.

Was Padraig Egan not over Milltown last year?
No harm in changing up the county backroom team every couple of years

Milltown rathconrath , he was involved with them some way and I think it was a manager. No harm chainring you county management altogether , cooney is too defensive .. against Dublin or any of the tops teams that's fair enogh but against teams in div 2 who are as of the same standard of us & even a worser standard to play defensive style football is a waste of time & how would any player enjoy playing county when there set up to play defensive ... that won't improve the standard of Actual football In the county .

So Paschal Kelleghan is taking Summerhill so I assume he's moving on from Westmeath. His club mate Declan Gorman joining him also, was he part of Westmeath set up also ? Any word on replacements ?

Its all a money go round. Most managers don't give a damn if they come in and improve or win with a team or not...at the end of training session/game all they know is that they have another 100 approx in the back pocket. Expenses my back side. It's a complete joke this merry go round system and any club that pays this outrageous money is very foolish..
I admire Mullingar Shamrocks who I believe don't pay managers and have alway appointed from within..Correct me if I am wrong.

Agree 100%.
Shamrocks have almost always appointed either their own, or else outsiders who were willing to do it for free. But even they have paid at least once in the past, to my knowledge. Although I could well be wrong on that - and it was quite a while ago.
It can be harder for smaller clubs to always have someone from within their club with the time, desire and ability to take a an adult team. But larger clubs have less of an excuse. And some of them go to paid outsiders almost as a default.

I have it from a good source that tomas o flatharta is more or less confirmed . Be great to have a 2004 legend back in the county again. Highly respected figure
