you saying they should play in a provincial championship? Its a way of getting high profile clubs to London to promote the game and also gives players in London a shot at the limelight, its what keeps the gaa alive abroad don't be so bitter willywonka (USA) - Posts: 50 - 17/12/2015 11:54:00 1813289 Link 0 |

paddy your spot on no way should the london champions be in the senior club championship they should be in the intermediate championship, the london hurling champions go into the all ireland intermediate but problem is the footballers think there better than what they our the games our always one sided. would they have a better chance of all ireland glory in intermediate i think they would as hurlers have proved. I think entering the Connacht championship is the way to go,A realistic shot of beating a few teams there shea (Kerry) - Posts: 409 - 18/12/2015 12:36:14 1813455 Link 0 |
It costs a lot of money and a fair bit of organisation to get a team home from the UK to play a game, or indeed get a team from Ireland over to play in London, never mind 2-3 in a single provincial campaign. Don't see much wrong with how things are done now. Soma (UK) - Posts: 2496 - 18/12/2015 14:22:49 1813482 Link 0 |
I think the London champions should enter the Connacht Provincial Championship, firstly better chance to maybe win and a game but the main reason is I think they should do this is so that we have the London Championship played off earlier in the year, playing in the Provincial championship would mean that the London Championship would need to be finished by Mid Oct at the latest. As it stand they have up until the end of Nov to complete it. Rosineri1 (UK) - Posts: 1999 - 21/12/2015 12:52:35 1813784 Link 0 |
