Great win, won it in style, 2 great goals and I'll give the guy who got the second one the benefit of the doubt, definitely meant it!!

Today's result is another indication of just how strong club football is in Galway at the minute.
Oughterard and Corofin both being sent to replays in county finals and going onto win All Ireland's is testament to teams like Breathnachs and Tuam also.
Great win for Oughterard today!

Quiet enough game for Matthew Tierney. Even missed a few frees he could normally get. Easy to forget how young he still is. Shows how good Oughterard are now that they didn't need him to have a great game to win.

What a stunning win. They didn't just beat a highly fancied Magheraclone; they Put them to the sword.

Congrats lads, delighted for ye.

Yes it seemed the hype about his previous performances got to him and he was well marked but I'm sure he would nail most if not all those frees if they were to play again. He is young and still learning but so is David Clifford of Kerry and he is not doing too badly at senior level!

Oughterard lads are now painting galway city green and white. There going to be parading the cup at half time at our next home match by all accounts, Watched it again on the tg4 player. Absolutely savage football. If they can sober up in the next week or two they could give Frank fox a serious rattle.Galillinh abu.

The Monaghans and Eric Lee looked very good going forward and always want to burst past their opponents and take their scores so they would definitely be useful additions. Niall Lee looked a little less involved but still managed to get 4 points in the final. Matt Tierney had an off day but he will perform to a high degree in most games he plays and will nail most frees albeit not the last day. Enda Tierney looks set to nail a midfield place in the Galway team (possibly partnering Ronan Steede) after a few average showings in a Galway jersey previously.

Fairplay to Connacht rugby for inviting Oughterard to parade the AI cup at half time at the Connacht v Cardiff game. Have to admit I was very embarrassed as a a GAA buff that they were not giving the chance at our own stadium Cringe

Fairplay to Connacht Rugby? I'd say fairplay to Oughterard Gaa, playing a blinder off the pitch ensuring all the sports in the community get on and share resources and support each other. Christ could other clubs learn instead of basing there approach on making sure they pick one sports over the other. Jesus our lads play so much soccer off season like the rugby
