Only too well! It's left a mark. As ClonDub said earlier Remember losing to Westmeath & Laois in Croke Park! It was officially the worst period in Dublin GAA history 1996-2010 Typical... right through our prime supporting years in your 20's So many awful defeats, humiliating defeats, and we were dragged through the muck backwards by those loving every second of it! Called every name under the sun That's what makes it all the sweeter now though! All the very much sweeter indeed. jimbodub (Dublin) - Posts: 20164 - 04/10/2016 13:04:16 1922352 Link 4 |

Christ I'd forgotten about Laois in 2003 and Westmeath in 2004. MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13197 - 04/10/2016 14:20:36 1922391 Link 9 |
I remember back in those days Pat Dolan wrote an article in the star saying why Ireland were a better soccer team now was cause there was a lot more country lads on the team, he said look at the Dublin football team Dublin people are not winners or don't have the drive to be ,something like that, I was fuming when he wrote it, I'd love to know what he thinks of us now. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 04/10/2016 15:19:28 1922430 Link 9 |
