Dublin v Kildare Leinster semi final 2013?

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Thats funny Daith because I can see a Kildare v Laois leinster final this year I think Meath and Laois will make it to through that side of the draw and will be very very close between Meath and Laois really I couldnt pick between the two to reach the final but if I was pushed I just have this feeling Leinster might have a novel pairing this year where the Dubs wont be in the mix for the Delaney cup.Wouldnt put westmeath no.2 in the provenice unless they became continually competitive would need a lot of improvement a level or 2 behind in terms of strength and conditioning although it can be done look at kildare before 2008.

doubt that very much, leinster belongs to dublin for the near future, only lack of interest can stop them winning it, even if only half interested they'll beat kildare like they always do as they have better forwards. Hard to know who will play dublin in the final but doubt it will matter too much.

6 weeks to go till we get our hands on you lot, I'd say your having sleepless nights at the thought of it. Don't worry I'm sure you'll do well in the qualifiers if you avoid the big teams.

Yes. Sleepless nights. We are all insomniacs in Kildare.

I've been in constant contact with the sales people over at Andrex and I'm now on first name terms with their delivery driver over the thoughts of possibly playing Dublin (yet again) in six weeks time.

I've been on to Armitage Shanks about the installation of a new toilet with the thoughts of this fixture.

Cant wait if this match does come about, hopefully Kevin Mc Stay in the commentary will be shouting AAAAHHHHH YESSSSSSS (to a kildare win in the dying seconds) instead of AHHHHH NOOOOOO AHHHHH NOOOOOO!!!

would be a pretty big surprise if dublin were to lose to kildare. hard to see us winning midfield and losing that battle has defences under pressure and plenty of shooting practice for bernard and co.! But you never know, a dry day and an early goal could see us run them close. But dubs forwards to get the scores when it matters.

Let's get past Offaly on Saturday week first before we start talking about the Dubs.

Fantastic idea. Offaly will be loving this. Lets not forget Wicklow and Louth shocked us in first rounds only a few short years ago and here we are talking about the Dubs. Next thing we'll have the noisy neighbour in claiming that all of Kildare are dismissing Offaly.

Offaly on June 1st is where its at.

Obiviously eyes and focus are well and truly on Offaly we were just humouring the chap that actually set up the thread a Dub not a lilly! but come on lads bit of banter never hurt the heart or the head.
uibh fhaili will be a good test.

Offaly have been training really hard over the last few months. They are a lot more organised this year and their motivating goal is to beat Kildare on June 1st, not just to put up a good show and give the qualifiers a rattle. Their priority at the start of the year was not to move up a division but to beat Kildare. I've heard that from a very reliable Offaly man.

@lillywhitemagic - Pender will be the biggest loss to them he played centre back all year and is a good player. Seems to be a lot of people writing offall off on here, I think its going to be a very close game, they play very defensivley this year and have 3 very good forwards in McNamee, Sullivan and Casey

They'll be a loss alright, there's not many counties out there who could cope with missing arguably three starters, especially if one of them is at fullback / centreback and another in midfielder.

As far as I know Niall Smith is still off the panel so it might mean they move Brian Connor out from half forward to play midfield against us, which would probably suit us as without a recognised half back Connor would certainly do some damage. Physically, in midfield, we should be able to contain him a bit more.

Thanks for the replys if in doubt..st conleth..big willy I suppose we wont know for sure if they are gone until throw in but going by what your all saying it will be a lot harder for Offaly if they are missing.
I think Myself Offaly will bring a much sterner test I have heard they are fitter more conditioned and going by the O Byrne cup match against kildare earlier in the year they have improved under Mc Donnell since last year.
I would suspect Kildare will pull away in the end but it will be close I dont expect it to be a walkover at all.

Whew! At least with this draw we will be spared the antics of Royaldunne

RoyalDunne is a decent contributor, Doesn't get the credit he deserves with some of his post

He does a good bit of fishing thought but more fool yous for rising to it. You should be able to spot the difference between someone attempting a wind up and someone being serious

As for Dublin v Kildare, I'm nearly sure we have respective games next week, But if we do meet in the semi final , You's won't beat us, Simply not good enough.
