1. Mac - years a head of his time
2. Sean Kelly - Obviously nothing done to earn his place yet. Purely crystal ball stuff .....think he will be a great!!
3. Hanley - top class at his peak in a Galway team going backwards
4. Mannion
5. Sean Og
6. John Divilly
7. Dec Meehan
8. K.Walsh
9. Bergin
10. Mickey D
11. PJ
12. Ja
13. Mickey Meehan
14. Shane Walsh
15. Damo Comer

I think all the lads in bold have to be in the team somewhere. Maybe a lack of balance in forwards but all class and well able to adapt. Mac, Mannion and Sean Og only defenders I was 100% about. Mannion could play in any position.

I think i would agree with you on Hanley, excellent player and defender who was left isolated in teams where other teams had protection set up around their full backs.

Agreed. I don't think many (myself included) appreciated his true worth until the days he wasn't there- Mayo in 2013 being the standout occasion.

Anyone not picking Paul Clancy shouldn't be allowed an opinion on football.

Here's an opinion on football, Paul Clancy was very good but not in the best 15 of the last 22 years of Galway teams imo.

Paul Clancy was a class act always seemed to make the right decision everytime. His kick pass to D.Meehan in 2000 stands out as the best kickpass in Croker history in my opinion.

That was class to be fair. But look at who he's up against. Unless u put Michael D to midfield to get an extra forward spot or put Mannion corner back and Clancy centre back

What do you mean?.... I already have Donnellan, Mannion and Clancy in my team.

Paul Clancy was a better 6 than John Divilly, and Shane Walsh and Damian Comer haven't come remotely close to matching his level of productivity or achievement as a forward.

I'd agree he was a better 6 than Divilly in the short time he played there. To be fair to Walsh and Comer they up to now have been playing in a system which doesn't suit them and with probably weaker ability wise players. They also both have a good few years left in their career so more time yet to make their mark. Personally I think Walsh has the ability to be one of the best ever so I would l
put him ahead of Clancy. Clancy is a much classier player than Comer but Comer is unmarkable with the right ball. Very tight between those 2

I was always found it strange how quickly Divilly disappeared from the scene in the years after 98. In saying that however, at least he's making a significant impact as a coach.

Who of the current team would get in/ be close to this team? Walsh, Conroy, Comer, L Silke?

Yes those 4. Sean Kelly, John Daly, McDaid, Flynn(based on past 2 years form), Brannigan, M Daly, Ian Burke if they fulfil their potential by the end of their careers have that level of quality but whether they deliver in next few years or not is the question for me
