Galway V Mayo

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

I understand that the standard of club football is different than intercounty and it sometimes takes time to integrate new players into system/tactics etc, but a player who's hit a grain of good form and fitness sometimes brings an X factor that can be immeasurable, I'm wondering who would forum contributors like to see brought into panel.

Read today that he's in with the Galway seniors already.

Can't see how you have Mikey Boyle in players playing poorely. Mike is a fantastic Club player but that is as far as I'd go.

Comer was kicking frees over with his bad foot from 40 yards against Moycullen. He'll be grand

I dunno I saw him a couple of times this year and I didn't think he did much in those games anyway.
He may struggle to get back to his 2018 form.
Hope I am proven wrong though obviously.

Might be crazy to think but Ian Burke is going to struggle to make this team. Conroy, Walsh and Comer have three forward spots taken. If Daly doesn't start midfield, then that's another spot gone in the forward line. That then means Brannigan, Varley, E.Finnerty, Conneely, Burke and Matthew Tierney (when available) for two spots.

I'd add Rob Finnerty to that list too. He was playing well earlier in the league and was one of the few bright spots for Salthill this year.

Agree, hope to see that trio in FF line, no one could handle them

All gaa activity suspended in fermanagh including intercounty.

I hope inter county goes ahead this year but to me it's looking doubtful.

Let's all do our bit and mind the health and dont forget to look after the heads

I hope Daly isn't midfield. Was very poor in the final, doesn't score enough from play either.. definitely one for the panel though... can see him coming on with 10-15 mins to go

It is good to see the Allianz leagues back again. It is a good trial run for the Championship. If things go wrong Covid wise, well the league is back again in Febuary.
