Well done to Kinawley on winng today!!! With the weather not great in November/December it is madness having league finishes so late. Anyway, what's going to happened in div one with Roslea drawing with Ederney does it mean that they wmight have to have a playoff with each other or what? I hear Derrygonnely won't be able to field a full first team next Sunday against Ederney since McGuaran's stag do is on next weekend. Personally, whether Ederney gets the pts or not I think they have missed the boat not beating Roslea today! In any case Derrygonnelly will be hard to beat in the final. cillnaile. Hi erneboy what happened your Belleek club this season after topping the league to fall so fast from grace? TurnipHead. (Fermanagh) - Posts: 212 - 24/11/2015 11:47:34 1809469 Link 0 |
Ederney need a draw or a win this weekend to avoid a play off against Roslea. What is the point of showing points difference in the league tables if this is not used as a means of separating teams on equal points? sidelinecut40 (Fermanagh) - Posts: 84 - 24/11/2015 13:11:27 1809492 Link 0 |
sidelinecut40 <<< ok gussy thanks for the clarification. I agree on the points thing, it's misleading. TurnipHead. (Fermanagh) - Posts: 212 - 24/11/2015 13:51:19 1809514 Link 0 |
Why are we drawing out the league for as long as possible? Tempo v Skea this week end. SKea are down to Div 2 as it is. so why play this game Surely Tempo v Bridge would be a better game to play. If Tempo win or draw they are in Div 1 next year, If the Bridge wins or draws they are in Div 1 next year. Its gets a wee bit more complicated if the Bridge wins against Tempo. But over all Div 1 B could be sorted out with one game this week end. gola (Fermanagh) - Posts: 305 - 25/11/2015 10:12:11 1809698 Link 0 |

The CCC seem to be making it all up as they go along. I respect the work county volunteers do and appreciate that these people give up their time to help run GAA in the county, but this season has gone from a joke to the down right ridiculous. I hear there have now been 'finals' added to the format for division 1B & 2B. Can they be serious!? Will the club player be allowed a christmas at all? Players making plans to travel home for games from their place of work and in some cases from over the water, only to find out on social media (days before said games) that those that had been scheduled actually wont be played this weekend and will be put back to whenever the ccc eventually decide. I nearly feel more sorry for the county player - when are these lads ever going to get a break! back out with the county I presume already and still playing club league football! The problem is that little can be done about any of this now. But over the winter the 'powers that be' must prioritise this issue and make sure it never happens again. I know alot of other players have been sickened by constantly having to put everything else on hold for this never ending shambles. Club players will tire of being treated like 3rd class citizens and clubs will end up losing even more players. Its killing the love of the game. There is one simple solution...play the games without county players during the summer. If they aren't there then tough diddy. gotmilk (Fermanagh) - Posts: 4971 - 25/11/2015 13:06:34 1809790 Link 0 |
Are all games off today due to the weather and water saturated fields? I think there very poor co-ordination on behalf of the CCC to get updates out as quickly as possible. erneboy (Fermanagh) - Posts: 1301 - 29/11/2015 10:35:27 1810413 Link 0 |
SFL Division 1A result. Ederney 0-7 v Derrygonnelly 0-10. Ederney will now face Roslea in a Playoff for a Final place Big.Ears (Fermanagh) - Posts: 11 - 29/11/2015 15:45:47 1810454 Link 0 |
Yeah I would agree as Kevin McDonnell like our own Eoin Donnelly are but mannerly lads in the game who are very committed and don't get carried away like some with the 'fame or glory' of being part of the county team. I see Pete hasn't indicated his final squad but he would to shake things up and get rid of those that aren't up to it and not become just bench warmers! surely after all the money put into brewster park and the lissan centre of excellence that one of these would be a suitable venue rather that using a county council facility? it's a poor reflection on the gaa authorities in fermanagh! abc1234 (Fermanagh) - Posts: 391 - 30/11/2015 11:17:30 1810530 Link 0 |

It's ridiculous for Tempo having their div 1B final on the mouth of Christmas just days before eating the turkey!. The final should be on the 13th Dec as the Bridge is never going to beat Tempo anyway in round 5 so it's simply prolonging the situation unfairly for the players. If the Bridge had any sympathy with those forced to endure the long agonising season they would concede round 5. Let's see are they man enough to do it. TurnipHead. Turnip head whilst I totally agree with what your saying its a lack of respect for all players at this time of the year to be out in this weather. But and this is a big but--- if Skea beats the Bridge and Tempo beats the Bridge and St Pats beats Belcoo there would be a play off between the Bridge and St Pats to see who goes down but as I have said its a big BUT! gola (Fermanagh) - Posts: 305 - 01/12/2015 12:08:55 1810765 Link 0 |
