Christy Ring 2013

I have to congratulate Down hurlers on reaching the Christy Ring final and Ballycran who hosted the game in a very professional manner. Down County Board take note! Maybe they will now take notice that county senior hurling games can be played on the peninsula. I think the mass of support reinforced that sentiment.
On another note I over heard at a game last evening that two county Down brothers will be representing two different counties in Croke Park next Saturday. Is that true and has it ever happened before? What club are they from and who are they?

@down12792 - Kevin McGarry and his brother both hail from fermanagh. Fermanagh not playing this weekend.

The answer is Matt Conlon (Portaferry & Down) and Shane Conlon (Portaferry & Warwickshire).

Radio Kerry will broadcast live but only Kerry people will understand what is being said.

Any word on the line up? Will Sheehan get the start again. Who will replace Paudie Flynn at full back?

Congratulations to Conor Woods on being named centre half back on the GAA.IE team of the week. Great achievement and fully deserved after a tremendous performance last week. Lets see if we can a few more listed after this weekend!

Young Woods had a stormer and to be fair the 2nd half performance from the whole team just blew Meath away, you can def see P Flynns influence in the forward play, some great moves and scores. Well done the Co Board in bringing him up.
I think the big pitch in Croke will suit us and if we can cut out the wides then we are in with a great chance - will be tough though so hope theres a good Down support

Good to see 4 lads from outside the Ards making the starting 15!

Good luck to the whole squad. Hopefully we can bring that Cup home at last!
