Well done today, good win. I dont want to get to far ahead(as im sure ye dont) but if ye win the final, would ya say ye will be lookinjg to be in the Leinster SHC? Obviously as the Ulster is not connected to the All Ireland anymore. I suppose Kerry will be in the same boat as they might not want to enter the MSHC.

Great point galget1967. It's a no brainer. Fair play to the many non Ards hurling supporter that made the trip across the water yesterday. Next week we all need to get out and make the trip down to Dublin - should be a great day out. Well done to the lads yesterday and great job by the supporters as the atmosphere was great. Croke here we come!

Fantastic result which was well deserved. Great support too which must be worth a few points. Ballycran did a great job... well done to them. Many congratulations to the squad and to Gerard Monan and his management and backroom staff. Hope there is a lot of support in Croke next Saturday... see Portaferry are running a bus....good for them! Great day for Down hurling. Congratulations to whoever was responsible for the game being in the Ards. Good luck on Saturday to all.

Great day out on Saturday. Pitch, support and performance were outstanding. Everyone stood up. I think Woods and Coulter were outstanding. Disappointing Paudie Flynn won't be playing the final. Moment of madness. He got away with a wild pull just before that too.

Great result on Saturday. Good to see a big crowd at the match. I'd estimate the crowd at 1500. Stand full to capacity, and also dug out side of the pitch fully lined from end line to end line. I'm sure the players were lifted by the attendance and atmosphere, which is what they deserve - hence the brilliant second half performance.

Also congratulations to Ballycran for the stewarding. All went off without a hitch. Roll on Croker!!!

Absloutely fantastic game. Play like that against Kerry and we'll win alright....Great support too - only downer was that the ferry service wasn't prepared for the traffic and given the queues we left behind, a lot of other people would have missed the game!!!!

What's the capacity of McKenna Park or biggest attendance?

Parful match indeed - fairly upped it second half and to be honest we needed to, too many wides still and the loss of the full back Flynn not good for the final. Well done to all involved

it was great to see, the hurlers returning to ballycran, for a big game. i hope the county board took notice of the attendance(if any board member was there), and keep the hurlers in the ards in future and stop preventing the lads from getting the support they need and deserve. Was a great day out and had a good buzz to the day.

Long John...I certainly saw the County Chairman and the Chairman of the Hurling Board and a few others too. ..... don't know who was not there but no doubt someone does. Saw the two I mentioned congratulating the players and management at the end..... and they looked VERY happy.

It was nice to see a large contingent of lecale, mourne and north Down folks at the game. Great to see several non Ards men play on Saturday as well. Sheehan is a serious hurler. Conor Woods had an all star performance. Very excited for Croke - I can see us bring 3/4000 supporters?

Good Luck to Down on Saturday in Croke Park. I hope the fans come out in big numbers to support the hurlers. That was a great display on Saturday in Ballycran. Interesting to note the number of sons of past players on show, took me back to the days of Kerby, Woodsy, Doocher, Coogy, The Hogg, Peter Conway, Paud Braniff, Eoghan Sheehan etc.

I have to congratulate Down hurlers on reaching the Christy Ring final and Ballycran who hosted the game in a very professional manner. Down County Board take note! Maybe they will now take notice that county senior hurling games can be played on the peninsula. I think the mass of support reinforced that sentiment.
On another note I over heard at a game last evening that two county Down brothers will be representing two different counties in Croke Park next Saturday. Is that true and has it ever happened before? What club are they from and who are they?
