No mater where your from Portaferry, Hiltown, Downpatrick, Kircubbin, Warrenpoint, Ballyvarley, Carryduff, Attical or Letrim get out and support your county in Newry Saturday. Your county needs you. It a pity the Down vs. Derry game wasn't in Newry and not Celtic Park as we could have had a double header. That would have been great exposure for Down Hurling.

Great decision. Up Down. We'll get a great crowd. Up the Cran.

There is NO way that 90% of the support in Trim was for Down. Meath had a huge (if unpleasant) support and it was this that earned them the draw. The boys need BIG support on Saturday. Hopefully the posters who say it is in Mc Kenna are right. All those Ards people who stayed away MUST now get out and support the team who have done brilliantly so far with very little support... and lots of criticism! They deserve their day in Croke so get out with your flags and in good voice on Saturday. We need to let Meath know that we care about our hurlers! Whoever wins is at a big disadvantage though as Kerry will have had an extra week to prepare and will not have been expected to play club matches too! Good luck to the team and the management on Saturday. You deserve to win.

Hopefully the extra home support can push the lads over the line. The game in Trim had a great atmosphere from what i heard and it was played in the Meath hurling stronghold. Very happy to see Championship Hurling coming back to the Ards the home of Down Hurling. From my house to Newry it 44 miles or via Belfast it's 64 miles. I also work in Saturday morning till about 1.00 - so I'm delighted that I'll be able to attend the game Saturday.

If the game is in McKenna I think it's a great call. The surface and support will certainly do our lads a favour. Alot of the lads will know what it felt like losing to London and ET of a replay last year and will want to put that right this year. Hopefully they can get themselves and us a day out a Croke!

Not sure who made the logical discision of staging the replay at McKenna Park, but well done great call. Good discision for the players and supporters. Looking forward to the game. If we can get a good start I think we can beat Meath and I beleive we improving each game.

Sliothar, with your comments the boys are probably better off without your support! It is true that there are some people who can never be pleased. Ballycran is a better pitch for hurling than Newry so hopefully the boys will get the win they deserve and all TRUE supporters will be there to cheer them on.

Are Down not bringing the match to Ballycran so as to ensure that the Meath Team will have greater difficulty in travelling and are less likely to have much support as the additional time and cost associated with a trip 1.5 hours beyond Newry will discourage many from Meath. If it is not this, why did Down not play any other C RIng or league game in Ballycran?????

Match in Ballycran thats all you need to know now - as for distance it is the same distance for Meath and their supporters as it was for Down and most of their supporters last week - Enjoy the Mournes and Strangford lough and hopefully a Down win

If Meath can play in Trim, Down can play in Ballycran.

We owe you one from a few years ago when you refused to get on the ferry from Strangford because of fog!! :)

with Down back playing at home, i can see a Down Win if our defenders stop making stupid fouls.
