It dose not make sense to spend so much on a bar with a 10yr lease what kind of business model is that. Were is the logic? I am shocked coke park is even allowing this to happen. We need fields not bars we have plenty of them on Maclean Ave. We will lose a generation of kids the way we are going. totm (Dublin) - Posts: 11 - 29/03/2016 14:03:20 1838812 Link 0 |
I agree with the GAA on this one and a 10 year lease is about all the bars on mc lean or anywhere else get. The GAA will make a lot of profit from this venture and have a fine facility at their disposal for dinner dances, weddings and all types of parties. I'm sure it will attract bigger attendances at games. It will be their first project in living memory and good luck to them. Crossgaa (Mayo) - Posts: 548 - 31/03/2016 11:45:01 1839586 Link 0 |
I hear some clubs are trying to move the intermediate final from September 25th to a earlier date. I can only see this is to help all the money clubs with all summer players. Senior has gone now intermediate going in the same direction. Shame on the gaa ny board if this is allowed. totm (Dublin) - Posts: 11 - 08/06/2016 16:18:30 1863721 Link 0 |

when is the new super-bar going to break ground? the date keeps moving it was meant to be January then may after the championship game then June. now we have no football to next april since all the money teams got the championship finished early. waste of money plenty of bars up on McLean ave. we need football fields not bars. but i am sure the county board should know this. totm (Dublin) - Posts: 11 - 07/09/2016 01:14:17 1911041 Link 0 |

Heard from boys at work that this project in Yonkers has the backing of the local GAA. This is a good move I think. Crossgaa (Mayo) - Posts: 548 - 12/05/2017 16:59:05 1986292 Link 0 |

I see next weeks schedule has been removed from your website. Is Gaelic Park being refurbished? Gaa Fan (USA) - Posts: 549 - 17/05/2017 16:07:32 1987605 Link 0 |
Yes. Sundays games are the last games until Mid July there.

No word from Senior Board on what's happening. Supposedly Manhattan College is starting new sod project Monday, but nothing being told to clubs or anyone else. Rockland GAA has schedule of matches on their Facebook page, is that how we hear what's going on? Total nonsense that a plan B was never fully talked about with clubs.

Yeah that's the truth. All the running around for the 1 Connacht match, but everyone else left to fend for themselves when it comes to our own season. Same story every year.

Its a total farce and nothing will change till they get the dinosaurs out from the county board. The only thing they want is to get that NY tie on and get photographed during their big weekend in May. Narrowback (USA) - Posts: 13 - 18/05/2017 15:34:12 1987991 Link 0 |
Heard complex is starting soon. Gaelic park will be a great facility then.
