I see the new chairman, in an interview in the Irish Post, is mentioning the high number of fixtures not played as something he wants to address. As I read through the article, I was thinking to myself that this could be a positive move - Maybe he was going to look into the root cause of why so many fixtures don't go ahead ? Maybe he would come to some conclusions regarding the fact that games aren't fixed until 6 days in advance and possibly see that as an issue ? And then I got to the quote : "Fixtures will be played, I can assure you. We'll go as per rule"
I'll give him the benefit of the doubt as there is a chance he was misquoted but if this turns out to be the attitude then it's yet another case of the head being stuck in the sand.
