Replying To county man:  "Yep, you're spot on DualSupport, surely they could have moved the football to Saturday. I think we know where the priorities lie though, which was made obvious with the footballers rise and the dual players issue in the 2000's.

Making the footballers play a league match on an astro pitch a few years ago was the lowest point.

This shouldn't be a hurlers vs footballers issue, we are proud of our hurlers but the county board should be making more of an effort to encourage both codes. There are many people in the county who want to support both teams."
Seems to be a general apathy for double headers in the GAA over the last few years I could be wrong but you never hear of the weaker hurling counties getting a double header which would be a nice boost in profile for them same as the Limerick footballers

Yeah great result to keep the football momentum going.

Kerry obviously will be a huge step-up but hopefully they will get to play in much better conditions.

Fantastic result last night. Limerick football must be on a real high at the moment. Seniors & U20's need to keep up the consistency now.

Well done to our u20 footballers last night, wasn't the greatest game but weather conditions were terrible. We were poor enough in the first half with mis-placed passing, losing the ball in contact and some bad shooting, our full back line were brilliant all game and kept us in the game in the first half but in fairness it was hard to control the ball with the weather. We improved big time in the 2nd half especially our forwards John Hayes and Eoghan O'Mahony got into the game and caused problems for the Tipperary backs. Where you really have to praise our lads after Tipperary coming back on top getting 3 points on the trot and the game looking like it's was heading for extra time, our lads were a man down wrecked tired playing in the conditions found energy from somewhere to get up the field and fair play to Barry Colman for getting the winner and the lads for closing out the game after.

Hopefully we can give Kerry a good game next week but the lads know themselves they need to improve and go up a level again.

Hopefully these lads will stick with the football and come on the senior panel in the next few years there is a few good footballers on this team and I have seen some very good footballers at u21 and at u20 level in the last 5 or 6 years years who never came into the senior or come in for a season or 2 and leave that trend has to stop if Limerick football is to improve. Hopefully some of these lads might a bit of sigerson or Trent cup next year to help their development also.

Another positive result last night. At last, we seem to be closing the gap on Tipp and Clare at underage. Well done to everyone working so hard within the underage development structures.

Best of luck to the Limerick footballers today, the match should have been on last night, it's wrong the GAA fixed county's footballers and hurlers at the same times.

What an excellent result yesterday, one win from the remaining three matches will surely get us promoted. This could be a real breakthrough year for football - winning the Walsh cup, potentiall getting promoted and have a good crack at getting to a Munster final

Think they'll need more than 1 win to be sure, and the 3 remaining games are all really tough games especially Antrim & Sligo away, but they are in great position and hopefully confidence will be high going into Munster.

It would be great to see them turn the corner and have the first real positive year for Limerick football for a number of years alright.

Pleasantly surprised with the result last Sunday for the footballer's especially after losing Jamie Lee. Well done to all involved, Im still very annoyed the county footballers and hurlers fixtures are left clash that game looked like it was well worth seeing.

A 7 point defeat in the end but apparently they gave a very account of themselves.
It's a big improvement from last year and light years from the 28 point hammering they got 2 years ago.

The curve of Limerick football remains on the way up.
