Next Dublin captain

(Oldest Posts First)

Not that i want to see the back of stevo...but i was having this conversation with my son recently and he maintains it has to be connolly...connolly as current vice captain will probaly get it but i feel kilkenny will be the next long term captain think he was built for that role.

Fenton, Connolly, Rock and McCarthy are the nailed on players for me.
Anyone of them would be a great captain even if Fenton is a young fella.

I think Rock would be a good captain very level headed.

Next captain selection will obviously depend on the timing of SC stepping down. Were he to walk away in September it would be easay enough to see James McCarty / Dean Rock step up , however as they are mature enough players if SC continues beyond you are looking at Kilkenny in my view.

I suppose.
With all the miles on the clock Kilkenny has he has plenty of experience to be future Dublin captain.
Wasn't he playing minor for what seemed like five years!?

If Dean Rock becomes Captain would that create another piece of Father & Son history ....did his dad captain Dublin ?,

Thanks
