Should be but because there is no hurling board and no hurling reps within the county board to organise it it wont happen.

should be a U21 hurling league in Down 1/ Ballycran, 2/ Ballygalget, 3/ Portaferry, 4/ Ballela,Liatroim,Castlewellan 5/ Newry,Clonduff,Warrenpoint,Ballyvarley 6/ Carryduff/Bredagh but im sure the powers in Down wont let that happen as this would upset the U21 football

that format would generate a high standard of u21 hurling. They could do a round robin championship in parallel with the u21 football championship... why are the 3 ards teams not showing more ingenuity at county committee level to push for these type of competitions. It is very difficult for hurling people at the dual clubs to do this because the people with clout at these clubs are football orientated.

three voices in the wilderness Dingle I'm afraid to say.

Generally people who get involved with the county board committees and what not are there is because they have the time, nothing related to talent or ability to do the job.

There are the very odd exceptions, Seamus Walsh being an obvious candidate and should be shoe-horned into the full time secretaries role once Sean Óg moves on.

Dingle lack of interest for the 21s id say, lets not forget its also another €400 to be found in insurance monies.
Bricktop is right in part in regard to committees and you also have to remember attendance at 3 meetings per annum guarantees an all Ireland ticket.
On the other hand no-one is rushing for these positions having to head out on a Tuesday or Thursday night in winter to listen to total guff so we are all to blame for the inertia that pertains

Nope, some minors would be playing - Minors, Thurds, Seconds, Seniors.. never mind County minor and county u21. Too much for some and wouldnt get 15-20 u21 players from the ards clubs

CATTLEMAN - too much for hurlers from down but not for hurlers in any other county?

Up and win
I think it's a simple factor of population. If you haven't got the players you can't field a team.
