Carrick are doing the double which might benefit corduff as they 'll prob finish 2nd
Was v disappointed with doohamlet, but thought toome looked good"
MONAGHAN1985, Don't think Carrick will have it as easy as you think. Fancy them for the league, but Aughnamullen and Tyholland have just as good a chance in the championship. After Corduff's last two performances in championship i'd say they are praying that they don't go up to Senior.

Doohamlet are working off a small enough panel and missing McGinn is massive for a club that size. Agree that if the likes of a Corduff got promoted they would find it really tough in senior, most clubs find the jump too much particularly Killanny this year.

Am I right in thinking its a one week turnaround for these teams? In that case, I wouldn't have much faith in Doohamlet, looking flat, quick turnaround and other teams with more momentum or coming off looking better. However, their experience at this level could easily pull them through.

Having watched them the last day, it seems they're actually missing good shooters off the half back line.

Aside from them, junior and intermediate are looking very tasty for the rest of the year in terms of "who knows" factor. Will be trying to make it to the rest of the games this season for sure! Anyone think Ballybay can stop Scotstown this year?

Bookies seem to think it's Scotstowns!

Scotstown 4/6
Ballybay 3/1
Clontibret 6/1
Latton 8/1
Magheracloone 12/1
Monaghan Harps 25/1
Castleblayney 25/1
Truagh 33/1

Truagh gave Clontibret some beating in the league... Any word on what kind of team both sides had out? Would be some shock if Truagh knocked Clontibret out of the Championship.

Carrick should stroll to an Intermediate double given the players at their disposal. Only complacency will undo them at this level.

What is going on in Clontibret? Going badly in the league and out of the championship before quarter final stage, must be serious trouble in the camp

McManus having a very poor year(relative) and Dessie injured most of it.

Some matches this weekend. Both games in clontibret were exciting with great scores throughout. As blayney and ballybay met before does that mean were in for a mid Monaghan Derby with ballybay and latton?. Well done maraghcloone also.

Nobody expecting magheracloone in the semi final of the championship on league form, more than likely going to be magheracloone v latton and scotstown v ballybay

Ballybay good in the first half dissappeared completely in the second , bringing on players of the past who were at one time the way forward but not anymore , Latton created two good goal chances but did not take them , this turned out to be their downfall , Have to say Hugh Mc Elroy and Bob O Brien were a relevation for Latton !!

Have to finish of with Tommy Freeman, Malachy I hope you were there to watch he was back to his very best !!
