Celbridge V Moorefield at 3pm on Saturday and Athy v Sarsfields at 5pm. Should be two cracking games on view.

The Sash/Moorefield co final this year is a hard one to call, 2 points saw Moorefield through and if we leave out the two goals that Sarsfields scored in 60 odd seconds then just a point would have got them through for that reason I think it will be a close encounter but I give sarsfields the nod.

Congratulations to Eadstown on winning the Intermediate Championship. After his man of the match performance Cian Bolton surely deserves a call up for a Kildare trial.

Just wondering will the stewards give pass outs.Normally they don't and if you leave you have to pay to get back in.Its going to be a long time to be in the ground from 12.30 for the minor match until after 5.30 for the senior game, especially if you have no interest in the hurling.

What will end up happening now is that most people will only go for the senior game. I would have went to watch both games, but now I'll give the minor a miss and get in for the end of the hurling. Conleths is a cold place so I can't see many staying for the full 5 hours to watch all 3 games

The County Board will be issuing passes to go out after the minor final.

That's some insult to the intermediate hurlers.

You're right, it is an insult. They've been shoved in as a stop gap to try and solve a problem when they should have been given their own day out

They will still be playing before a bigger crowd than they would if the game was played on another Sunday, especially since Moorefield are in the Intermediate hurling final.

I would agree provided their minors are not exhausted.

Sarsfields for me too. But I'll be very surprised if there's much between them.

After delivering a passionate, absorbing, tenacious, county final no posts as of yet to say job well done to both teams and looking forward to the replay.

As a neutral I thought the game was a fascinating contest, where skill, passion and utter committment on both teams had to be praised. Not as sure about the referees performance...

Definitely one of the best county finals in recent years played with great intensity and generally a sporting manner by two committed teams. It would have been a shame to see either team win at the end as neighter deserved to lose.I wasent too impressed with the referees over all performance, while he may not have favored any of the teams his decision making was suspect. I also thought he bottled it in the first half when a Moorfield player should have been given a straight red for a bad kick on his opposite number.Looking forward to hopefully another great game next Sunday
