Hey lads, I was working and didn't get to see the match... Wha happened??? mightymeath1 (None) - Posts: 50 - 05/08/2012 21:10:50 1239297 Link 0 |
maybe today was a realization that we have gone backwards and are too far off the top teams like cork, too many times cork ran at us and we suffered,i know it has been said alot but our forwards arent just up to that level, that stage in the first 5 minutes of the 2nd half when we missed key chances to put pressure on cork was disappointing, all in all we cant fault the lads for workrate and has to be said fairplay to johnny who never gave up and chased every ball like his life depended on it ! lilly_white (Kildare) - Posts: 13 - 05/08/2012 21:34:26 1239341 Link 0 |
Devired this has been my whole point all along. While Kildare improve under mck they are no where near the top. Reaching qf is not success. Winning something is and on that he has failed. Laois are coming meath are getting back and minor are into ai semi Dublin are on top. Kildare may have missed the boat im afraid royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 17155 - 05/08/2012 21:38:39 1239352 Link 0 |

not that meath are going to win anything soon, but i can't see kildare doing anything big either. you should be dreaming of a leinster not an all ireland. BettystownRoyal (Meath) - Posts: 3353 - 05/08/2012 21:47:39 1239368 Link 0 |
dEVILRED you need 15 good players not 11 to make a Championship winning team try and raed the replys before you type the players stekhli named are all in their early to mid twenties. All handy players no doubt therefore we have plenty of potential to work with going forward AreWeHuman (Kildare) - Posts: 242 - 05/08/2012 21:48:52 1239370 Link 0 |
we have a bit of new raw talent there the question is will they get there chance at the senior panel. we have playerrs there that are not reaching potential on the panel but would they be droped to bring in new I doubt it. the team bar JD Roley and earley are all young enough for another few years so cant see too much breaking through did moolick get injured he was in the panel but then just faded. fogarty should now be playing more regular football and we need a good left footed free taker conway blows hot and cold too often when scores are needed from dead balls. I hope that this situation in the camp isnt put on a shelf till the O Byrne cup that the county board and management start now to make plans around what talent is out there in the county.we should actually see all new players being tried out in the likes of the O byrne cup there is no need to see kavanagh conway doyle foley out in theses games its the younger lads that needs to be seen.its time that kildare management also sorted out a proper home county grounds for the lads this travelling all over the place is just soul destroying to a team I feel. the fans are there we all pay to the clubs and to club kildare surely a fund can be sorted out for this too at least start. its embarrasing to have a team in div 1 and no exceptable county ground lillymadfan (Kildare) - Posts: 1085 - 06/08/2012 11:14:23 1239494 Link 0 |
I deliberately waited a day before I posted on anything. Sharpening the knives and gutting the team isn't the answer in the immediate aftermath such a disappointing game. As I've said before here the Kildare performance has gone back since last year when we were close contenders. This year we were not, either by virtue of not having a competitive mid-field or have our forwards suddenly decided not to shoot for the posts anymore? Before this year they were happy to shoot for the posts and at least have a pop, now they have to walk it before anyone pulls the trigger. Thoughts? Kildare blue what you say is true but im afraid the lure of playing soccer is greater than gaa with the soccer the hope is of being spotted and a chance of getting paid for playing a game you love no such thing in gaa. cant see him returning to play county gaa can you? lillymadfan (Kildare) - Posts: 1085 - 06/08/2012 17:54:42 1240033 Link 0 |

class apart, thanks for that i am just a realist and to many kildare fans get carried away and dont realise that we are just very ordinary, our fans are worse than the english soccer fans, they just keep building themselves up for a big fall every year devilred (Kildare) - Posts: 96 - 06/08/2012 18:43:47 1240118 Link 0 |

What are you talking about devilred?! Are you just glad because now you can concentrate fully on watching soccer in the middle of August? StrontiumDogg (Kildare) - Posts: 39 - 07/08/2012 14:22:07 1240805 Link 0 |
its not loser talk at all its just realism, i am not glad in any way that we are out, i not like the majority of other fans do not build myself up for a big fall every year, i am a very frustrated club player who has to wait every year till kildare are knocked out to play championship football apart for 1 round in april and then god knows when d next round will be, as ive said this is my 10th year playin senior and the standard is getting worse every year in club football, to many lads in loads of clubs are giving up playing, and this will leave kildares team in a worse state in a few years devilred (Kildare) - Posts: 96 - 07/08/2012 16:49:05 1240997 Link 0 |
Banty en-route!! Big talk coming from monaghan that he has been sounded out by kildare county board and would be in if Geezer walks away! Might implement the drastic changes needed to get the best out of this side? and a score to settle after being so badly treated in Meath! might be ideal fit MINK (Kildare) - Posts: 8 - 07/08/2012 16:50:13 1241002 Link 0 |
