It will be changed anyway as they won't clash. It could be brought back to the Friday evening because it's in castlebar or as you said, it might be pushed out to the Sunday! We will have to wait and see. Hope both matches get a good crowd. Very early start to the minor championship this year.

Yeah. Thought we were in big trouble going in level at HT after only scoring 0-5 with the wind. Fair play to all involved, they dug deep and really impressed in the second half. Liam Boyle from Kilk/Clon was MOTM scoring 3 points from wing-back, Padraig Costello from Dunmore chipped in with 2 points at a crucial stage, and keeper Oran Burke from Corofin brilliantly saved a penalty near the end to ensure the win. Evan Murphy and Sean Mulkerrin lead by example, with Murphy taking responsibility and scoring long-range frees against the wind.

Sligo beat Leitrim in the other semi tonight- a cracker by all accounts.

Good luck in final. Yer goal changed the game. Scoreline looked very one sided but game was much closer.Well anyways like I said before good luck in final. I expect ye to get into All Ireland semi at least.

Wasn't that impressed with Galway tonight to be honest. Difficult conditions in fairness as the pitch was an ice rink after the rain. Players were slipping all over the shop. To be fair to them they were a point down heading into the last 10 minutes of the game and scored 1-5 without reply after that. Definitely showed some balls but it would take a major improvement for them to do as well as last year's minors did in reaching the All-Ireland final.

Well I just hope it was because they were out of action for two months, galway were poor for 55 mins.rosscommon will be dissapointed they had the wind in the second half but we're not commited to put men forward, it probably cost them the game, galway defence was good in the second half but forwards ran in to cul de sac too many times, albeit they came good in those final 10 mins.A connacht final win would be great, anything after a bonus.

Well done to the minors, I'm sure their capable of playing a lot better and with the win they've guaranteed themselves 2 extra games.

The Lay off between matches is no excuse. It was because Galway were up against a well drilled and organized side unlike the Mayo minors who were beat by half time in the quarter final. The Roscommon minors put a lot of effort into that game and their legs were clearly gone by 50th minute. Never a 7 point game but a deserved hard earned win for Galway on the same and a type of win that is way better whereby you learn a lot more about yourself than a cakewalk.

Best of luck to the Galway Minor footballers and management at the weekend. Three in a row and the last ever Connaught Minor title wouldn't be a bad achievement !!!!!! Don't think anyone could argue with that but no doubt there will still be some begrudgers?! Looking forward to a good day out Sunday and hope everyone gets in early to support the young lads. It would be great also if the U17's got the result tomorrow in the Connacht final tomorrow in Bekan.

They are missing a good few lads though who are on the minor team and panel for Sunday.

A fully deserved win for Roscommon U17s this afternoon in the Connacht GAA centre . They led from pillar to post and Galway were only fed on scraps throughout . Got a bit of lifeline with 1-1 against the run of play before half time but could make it count in the 2nd half with the wind.

Should be an easier and a more successful day for Galway minors tomorrow as in Roscommon they have already beaten a better team than Sligo.

I have been watching for 60 years and one would think that after that lenth of time I would have got some sense, I keep on hoping but we have people running the team that are wearing blinkers they just keep doing the same thing over and over When things are not going well the y bring in Sice and Lundy (Thank god he got a red card and wont be available the next day) Heaney was our best half back in the league playing in the forwards where are McDade , Eanna Burke, Steed. ?? Ocurrain Flynn and Conroy Couldnt catch a ball at midfield even if they were not marked. To see that team go up against monaghan Tyrone ,Kerry or Dublin Gives me the shivers. At least I have some memories 1956 , 64 65 66 98 2001 Oh to see the likes Of Michael Donnellan, or Seamus Leyden or Big Matty Those were the .

Well done to Stephen and the lads. They were the silver lining on an otherwise very cloudy day. Sean Mulkerrin gets better every time I see him- a badly needed full-back prospect.

I think you are posting in the wrong topic !! Although I do agree with some of your opinions! Moving back to this topic- Well don't to Steven, Jason, Damien, Eoin and all the minor backroom and team... they may not have played their best today but they are still Connaught champions for the third year running. Great achievement. Steven Joyce has put in some solid work with a lot of young lads in the last three years and they are reaping the benefits. I look forward to seeing this team play to their full potential and I hope galway people will get behind them for their Quarter final and who knows what will follow. Well done again lads and enjoy the win. #GaillimhAbú #JustMyOpinion
