Wasn't it a breath of fresh air in Tuam Stadium yesterday evening to see a Galway Team play Football the way it should be played...
Not a Kick Pass Backwards all evening never mind side ways.... Brilliant to watch players express themselves and try to play football..
Well Done to all involved... Great to get the Victory and the Cup also in Tuam Stadium...Being a while waiting for silverware there....Great Crowd Also...
Best of Luck v The Dubs Saturday July 27th..

I actually heard before they even played a game this year that the management don't want to see the ball moved backwards at all and that was how they were training. Thought it might be rubbish but sure enough don't they move the ball backwards in games unless they absolutely have to.

As has been mentioned elsewhere, it's all well and good doing this at U-20 level but this is a standard of football that is a farcry from Senior Inter-County football. I don't agree with the level of hype being showered upon this particular team. After all, we are talking about a group of players for the majority who would have been involved in the 4 in a row Minor winning squads at some stage. Am I wrong for expecting that they win a provincial title, even with an unproven management team?

Sean Andy O'Ceallaigh dominated Con O'Callaghan in the U-21 final two years ago. After a decent debut season, he experienced a dip in form this season and was the target of endless criticism from our support. If we're not careful, the exact same will happen to the potential stars in this group, IF they can make the step-up.

Tradition is the enemy of progress....

The thing about this team is there are no "star" players. But what they have is an honesty and work ethic that reflects PJ, Divilly and Sammon.

Silke is good, but unfortunately pace does not appear to be part of the DNA..

They have every chance of winning it now as Kerry are without Clifford and Seán O'Sé.

Dublin, have two players that will easily make the step up to senior - but outside of that, are an ordinary team.

Kerry dont have stephen o brien either. But i suppose like o se he is not u20 this year. Clufford is a loss to them all right as he is underage.

I hope this management team will stay with this age group for 2-3 yrs
we have more good young players coming through in the next 2 years
be great to see paraic joyce and co develop this group too
Last years minor team who reached all Ireland minor final had some really good players
Therefore if all goes to plan they should have a good group of players to take to next level
if they decide to take the senior job down the line

It's Clifford and Diarmuid O'Connor from the senior team that Kerry u20s have played without.

The Dubs? Any student of football will know Laois have a pretty decent team with 2 seniors on it.

Laois do have a decent side it seems.
If they have two seniors are they not ineligible for u20 though?
Or are unused subs not barred?

Laois Seniors are out since last weekends defeat to Cork so the 2 lads are now eligible to play u20.

Cork hammered Kerry in Munster u-20 final. They have obviously re-assessed their panel since John Kerins tournament.

Talented bunch - would now have to fancy them to go all the way.

If they actually played for the seniors they're not.

You might make money from paddy power with that opinion. We are favourites to beat Dublin and favourites to lift the cup.

You put a hex on Kerry and Mayo with your last predictions. We'll be hoping for more of the same with this one.
