Hard to believe that Newry, who are sitting top of Div 2, cannot field in Joe McCrickard Cup! Does little to show respect for a great Down Gael!

Without wanting to turn this into a 'Newry bashing' thread, I must say it really is disappointing to see Newry fail to field a team for this fixture. It shows a lack of respect to the Co Board, the oppostion and to the completition itself! Not at all amused!

Portaferry look to have Div 1 won, unless Ballycran play their three remaining fixtures against Kilclief, Liatroim & Warrenpoint and win all three they will be level on points with Portaferry.
At the bottom, it's three way between Clonduff, Liatroim and Warrenpoint, though Liatroim and the Point have outstanding fixtures and if they win will be safe. If not then perhaps a play off will happen? It's only 1 team down and 2 up for next year to even out the leagues with 8 teams each

I can't see any more league games being played at this time of year.

McCrickard Cup final should be a good game with Ports out for revenge after Ballycran shocked them in the IHC final. Who won this last year? I think it was the same two teams.
