DOWN HURLING LEAGUE DIV 1 - 2013

Some result in the point Liatroim match, talking to people afterwards I heard that they were very good in the first half but the point really put it up to them in the second half. Giving it everything.

Also heard that number 6 for the Point was the danger man in the second half when he switched to mid field, scoring a goal and a few points. Paul MacAleenan was also outstanding for Liatroim scoring points from all angles.

Be interesting who goes down here, with 4 teams on 6 points each.

So the Galget's called it off? Meaning the Point get the points? and are therefore safe for another year?

Not sure, looks like it'll played on another date, but can understand your frustration, the match was scheduled and then called off just as quick. Must say its a weird one!

That's not fair to the other teams battling relegation who were beat by ballygalget earlier on in the year, surely if that game was played the Point would have suffered the same fate and not have gained any points. That game should be played for the consistency of the league standings.

I was thinking the exact same, but if the Galget's didn't travel to the match then should the Point not get the points as it would go down as them not fielding. And we have seen plenty of them over the years from all teams.
