How many teams get relegated form the Antrim Division 1?

Just the one, Rossa went down last year and Ballycastle came up from Div 2, sounds like they threw the heads up yesterday against Portaferry alright!

Barr' Buster I think you will find that Rossa have not played in Antrim Division 1 for about 5 years now.

I think one of the Ballycastle players took homage to getting a red card and sprinted 25 yards to remonstrate with the referee after his brother was given two yellow cards and a subsequent red. Portaferry were about to take a free which Dule was going to take and would no doubt have scored but the referee had enough and blew the final whistle. Ballycastle vacated the playing pitch leaving Portaferry standing there with ball in hand to do their warm down.

I take it the Ports 'ill get the points for yesterday's fiasco? that ' castle man was defo un-cool! he needs a few chill pills to control those hormones. 6 up with three to go and the ref abandoned, a bit far to travel for that carry on.
a well that Ballycastle lad needs loving too, we all need to produce those good vibes and "spread the love!"
Buster I see ur talking through ur A.S.S. again man! Rossa werent in Div1 Antrim 4 years man.

Will be interesting to see what action if any, the Antrim board will take against Ballycastle. If it were one of the Ards clubs they wouldnt hold back

As much as the Ports deserve the points if what is printed on here is true, but never underestimate the power of Dessie and Ballycastle in the boardroom.

No points as yet on the Antrim website, so I presume they haven't received the referee's report.

They should get the points if they were winning and the abandonment was at no fault of their own. Glenariffe went down last year that's right, cheers Bricktop

Unfortunatly due to last nites results the Galgets are relegated, losing 4 or 5 experienced players to work commitments over the last year or 2 has finally done for us and it will not be easy bounce back right away but we will give it a lash

relagated or not they will be back,,yes its not good but if your team struggles with injuries, work commitments and the ones away it s very hard fielding a strong team but dont be surprised galgets win championship but they wont be away for long just means no local derbies for them,,UP THE GALGETS

we all need positive vibes man. No down man should want to see any down club relegated.

You are correct, I don't want any relegated either, but I'm a realist and live in the real world.

If you follow the stats, there's really four teams in the relegation mix, the three Ards clubs and St Johns.

To date the Ards derbies have went the way of the home team and normally do (not set in stone, but known as a trend). The Ports have won their two home games and took a good point of Loughguile, hence their five. Ballygalget took their two points off us, at Ballygalget.

We've taken 2 unexpected points off Dunloy, and away to St Johns. We've still our neighbours and St Johns at home to come, whereas the Ports realistically will need something from St Johns at home after getting well beat in Corrigan and try get something in their two away Ards derbies. Ballygalget have a big game vrs St Johns this weekend, they really need to win that one or they're well favourites to go down. They'll need to get something away from home, possibly Corrigan to have a chance.

I'd prefer to be in our position than the other two IMO.

I posted this back in June, its now mid August.

How far off the mark was I?

The Galgets will beat Portaferry at home, but it'll be too little too late I'm afraid..
