Hi folks,
Will be travelling up on the 22nd, any good spots to park? Don't mind a walk to the grounds. Cheers.

**Free Parking at The Quays and Buttercrane Shopping Centre (at either side of Dublin Road)**

Down GAA can announce that The Buttercrane Shopping Centre and The Quays will be offering Free Parking for Match Patrons attending the Down v Mayo All Ireland Qualifier.

All that is required is that you show your Match Programme or Match Ticket on exiting the Car Park to avail of Free Parking

Mayo lads (and ladies) can avail of the cheaper carryouts whilst they're there.

No dozers.

Well done to Mayo. Down progressing in the right direction and need to hold on to Tally I think. If we can manage to get a handful of u20s into the team next year should be in a position to start challenging donegal and Tyrone for Ulster honours.

More than thanks for this advice AnDunCeanada. Got parking handy enough in the Buttercrane. Comiserations on the result. I'm glad ye didn't threaten our goal as much in the first half as in the second half, was very nervous when I saw ye kicking more ball in there.

Jesus lads I'm watching the Leinster final here and it's hard to believe that Down were a better team than than Dublin team less than 10 years ago. And today across social media we have people saying that Down are doing well and on the up after getting beat by Mayo and taking it as a positive that we didn't get hammered. Wise up lads. Down are not a team on the rise, the underage set up has a complete lack of consistency, the county board a shambles and we've failed to get out of division 3 and are out in the second round of the qualifiers. The fact that people are taking any positives from that is a) burying your head in the sand b) just shows how pathetically regressive Down have gotten. I've been supporting Down for 20 years and I've never had less hope than I do right now.

Very realistic. Can't solve a problem until you realise there is one. Simple as that.

Let's see how next week goes yeah? Plus I said the problem is consistency. Look at u16 for example last year - beat the pick of Dublin in their €12m centre of excellence...how many of that start team didn't play against Tyrone there in the u17 a few weeks ago? 10. 10 of the starting team. The Down under 14 gets a brilliant run every year and yet the same teams comes to nothing once they hit minor. No consistency, I'll be very honest and say awful minor management who, if they were managers in a business who have been sacked long ago, no carry through, no nuturing. Until we get consistency and stop hiring 'yes' men (and yes there's a lack of woman) in higher positions in management and executive level we're going nowhere.

Football has changed a lot since donegal revolution in 2011. Last night was the first time in this period that I seen evidence that a down team is now capable of competing in the modern game. I agree consistency is important so we need to keep Tally...

Want to qualify that? Can't argue with facts and I've plenty of them here if you want them although you'll find they'll highlight my point further.

Again your talking utter nonsense, No one I was talking to were delighted we were beat by a few points , In fact gutted we diddent win the game , had we taken our chances ,and not give away a silly goal we would be in the hat on Monday morning,You also forget there has been a sea change in personal over this past 2 years ,with quality players missing for one reason or another , And of course we should be taking the positives out of our 3 C ship games this year, We should have beat Armagh , We could have beat Mayo, The NFLChampions , I like many others do think Down is on the rise, Tally had 4 or 5 of last years u2o on the pitch yesterday ,and I was in Clones today and have no doubt another 4 or 5 will be added next year , So I think you are the one that needs to take your head out of the sand and have a good look around you ,Having watching your posts on this forum for a while now you never have anything positive to say, your constantly trying to run down team management at all levels , and getting the boot into Co board at every opportunity , Pathetic childish comments
