New Galway GAA Website

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Has anybody tried using the new Website, I cant believe it but it has even less information then the old one, you can no longer go to junior football champ or just intermediate hurling or whatever competition you are looking at. It only allows for this weeks football and hurling fixtures. Very disappointing , I thought with a new website it would be progress, but its even worse then before.

They have achieved the amazing feat of making it worse than it was. Yes, much less information on fixtures at all levels.
Look at the roll of honour under History, listing honours won. Not updated yet to include our 2017 Hurling win or Corofin's club win last year. Under latest news we have the Galway team announced to play Mayo...

Certainly I can't read the football results on my phone.
Only the first named team is visible - seems to be no way of scrolling over at all unless I'm missing something.
It's a heap of rubbish

Hard to believe the is hapoening with the amount of full time staff in administration in Galway gaa. But we have this level of incompetence because we don't complain. You complain or raise a concern in Galway gaa and people get into a tizzy. They find it hard to accept as paid up members of the organisation you are entitled to complain. Not so in Galway has circles and this is why we have such administration standards unfortunately.

If they had a magic wand and after a puff of smoke they had the best website in the world.......it would still be useless because they don't update it!

Maybe they should do a deal with GBFM - as part of the rights to broadcasting club matches they need to maintain the website.

Or if all referee reports had to be submitted through the website only as well as all administration going through the website only then it would always be up to date. The private data could be accessed through a private log on but all public info like results and fixtures would filter through to the public pages. The only way to make this work is if the website is the only source of information (not an additional source).

Anyone else having problems still with this website? It's either temporarily unavailable or fails to load, content is poor, you can't search specific div fixtures etc. Some one needs to step up and take charge of this and get it fixed, the old website was 100 times better than this joke

its slightly better than before, at least you can scroll across now. still very amateurish, and the feature where if you clicked on a club or venue and you would get all of the upcoming fixtures for that club/venue is gone. Most people if they are from Mountbellew for example are probably only going to be interested first and foremost in their own fixtures rather than scrolling through every u12 and u14 game in the county to pick out when their own club is on.

Particularly bad this wkend. No result from u14 div 1 feile final yet. Yesterdays result between claregalway and annaghdown feile in the wrong way around. I read that killanin beat corofin in senior league by 10 points but cant be sure if thats correct based on incompetence. Lads this is easy stuff to get right and it is important to get right.

I was.funny game-Gale force wind which Killanin had for the first half and Heaney was on fire with long range efforts.Corofin's cause wasn't helped by 2 black cards to Molloy after 10mins(abit unlucky as it looked like he slipped and Martin Farragher (probably deserved)10pts to 1 at half time. Corofin looked tired and not really up for it .
They started with about 6/7 of All Ireland team and some of the subs would be decent intermediates but not senior. No Fitzy,Sice,Wall,Steede,Leonard,Daithi /Ian or Colin Brady

Yes both of then and both fairly prominent(Thought Patrick a little more so)-Rory greene also looked lively at no 6
