Replying To Yadse:  "Does the comparative weakness of Leinster hurt their teams' chances?
Leinster teams can afford to ease into it, play some second string, try some things and still qualify. While Munster teams are on it from game 1
But is that the reason Munster teams are currently better? Or is it just a cyclical thing?"
Yes 100% it does. Playing battle hardened Munster teams is too much of a step up for the Leinster counties. That is the fault of the Leinster counties partially but the provincial round robin suits the Munster counties in my opinion.
Like, realistically there is 1 top team in Leinster (Kilkenny), 3 average teams (Dublin, Wexford, Galway) and 2 poor teams who can raise their game on any given day (Carlow, Antrim this year). In Munster, I think there are 3 top teams (Limerick, Cork, Clare) and 2 average teams (Waterford, Tipp).

Leinster hurling needs to get the finger out and up their game massively, but at the same time I think the structure should be changed to have knock-out provincial championships and a 2 x 5 team round robin for All-Ireland. Many of the same matches would still take place (and some with even bigger stakes than at present) and especially if you set the round robin up so that provincial champions were kept apart, provincial finalists were kept apart and then it was any 3 other teams.
In Leinster, provincial semi-finalists and one other team.

So lets say this year groups would be
Group 1 : Limerick, Dublin, (say) Cork, Wexford, Tipperary
Group 2: Kilkenny, Clare, Waterford , Galway, Antrim
Top team in to semi, 2nd/3rd into quarter, bottom team in to relegation.

Whatever happens, there needs to be an incentive for counties like Carlow, Kildare, Antrim, Offaly etc to keep working. At the moment, Yo-Yo is no use to them.

I would also say that the championship needs to be spread out more and club games either played without inter county players or weekends allocated for club championships all summer. Inter county managers would go mental but who put them in charge? This years championship was over before we knew it and finals need to be in September or October.

Just wondering, what do ye think the chances of a pitch invasion are on Sunday?

The only way you'll be on the pitch is if you decide to streak !

Maybe if Cork win the excitement will spill over!!

Doubt it though, a few brave souls tried it in 2018 and were dealt with fairly quickly.

Stewards shouldn't have too much issue and I'd hate to see a pitch invasion

Players winning and losing should be free to reflect/celebrate or whatever without thousands on top of them. Leave the time directly after to players, coaches and their families only least those guys deserve

I profoundly disagree with this. It's what separates us from other sports. They're first and foremost community games. It takes a village to raise a child, and a county to win an all Ireland. Everyone plays a part and everyone shares in it.

Shane Barrett, Brian Hayes and Alan Connolly in form of their life playing great hurling. On top on Hoggie and Harnedy never having a bad game against the Banner you have worry about the Clare backs.

I won't lie i'm a bit nervous here, but i'm also in no doubt that if this team hits top form and plays to it's full potential, then Clare can have Tony Kelly, Jesus, Buddha or Allah on their team for all i care, it won't make one iota of a difference we'll all be celebrating Liam McCarthy's return to Leeside tomorrow evening.

Safe journey going to Dublin and back everyone and let's raise the roof off the stands for the 1999 team as well! Rebels Abu it's time for Hoggie to get that long awaited and deserved all Ireland medal. Rebels ABU

I have to say I'm very confident...I said after the Dublin game there was an All Ireland in this team...cannot see Clare troubling them to be honest..revenge for 13

Here's hoping for a fantastic Final… The hurling all year has been amazing to watch ( compared to the snore fest football ) and I'm sure this game will not disappoint… I had a few quid on Cork after they lost their opening 2 games in Munster at great odds so I'm in the RED corner today…

You're very excited about Corks prospects for a "Limerick" man.
It's always entertaining when people forget they're on their fake accounts.

I can't wait for it and really looking forward to it.
I had Cork backed to win their Semi Final (delighted) but since Galway were gone it's been Clare All the way for me.

Two great teams playing in a sporting event hi-light of the year. You always feel sorry for the loser on this day while baking in the euphoria of the winner. Gratitude to all the fabulous players who give us so much enjoyment get to this day. Amateur players who play a now professional game at this level. Tell me where or what compares?
