Could be the start of the 5 in a row for the Rebel County.

That seems unlikely. It has the feeling of last chance saloon for some of the key men.

For the level they've sustained consistently over the last few years they haven't won enough. Although they're very unlucky that this group came along at the same time as Limerick.

For me Cork are on the way up while Clare are probably regressing a little.

This final is more important for Clare, but Cork having taken out Limerick I think it would be justice for them to win it.

Cork are the new kids on the block. Harnedy and Horgan will get their deserved long medals.

Can't see any team ever completing 4 in a row again never mind 5 with the round robin format in the provinces. Maintaining high performance levels to get through the round robin and then again for All Ireland series will be almost impossible to achieve over that period of time. It's last chance saloon for Clare on Sunday but Cork should get more opportunities over the next few years. It's a different game for Cork with more pressure on them coming in as favourites compared to the semi final where they had nothing to lose. Clare will need big games from their key men, the class of 2013 TK, SOD etc. The experience of 2021 All Ireland although a bad result gives Cork a slight advantage as neither team has alot of experience of being in finals. All known form would suggest a Cork win but if Clare can cut the supply into the Cork full forward line and be faster to the breaking ball from the Cork puck outs they have a great chance.

Clare need to win this one, they'll never have a better chance. Cork are a coming team and should be around for the next few years. Clare could lose Conlon through retirement and O'Donnell with work after this year. TK and McInerney not getting any younger either unfortunately. Would love to see Clare and Lohan do it. However, I think this is the start of a Limerick Cork rivalry over the next 3 years or so

Hoping the Rebels win Liam.

Think Cork will do it now they got this far.
Beating Limerick in the semi final was massive.
It should be a huge confidence booster.

I haven't the stats but I'd say the Cork and Clare starting teams are around the same age Doyler.

Does the comparative weakness of Leinster hurt their teams' chances?
Leinster teams can afford to ease into it, play some second string, try some things and still qualify. While Munster teams are on it from game 1
But is that the reason Munster teams are currently better? Or is it just a cyclical thing?

Cork have looked very strong all year, to win by 3/4 pts.

No Leinster teams play second strings in the Leinster Championship. Well not the stronger teams. Antrim did play a second string team against Kilkenny this year though. The weaker teams can tend to target games they feel are more winnable sometimes.

Why do you think all known form suggests a Cork win? Clare have won the last 3 meetings between the counties.

I've considered that to be honest but Kilkenny have still managed to make the final in 22/23.

I was particularly disappointed with our showing in the ai series this year I must admit.
