Replying To Knockfiarna:  "A few thoughts as a hurling supporter rather than commenting directly on the game details.
As a limerickman and neutral in this one, firstly Congrats to all the clare people on winning their 5th all ireland ,was hoping it would be us winning a different kind of 5 but that's sport and Clare are worthy winners this year. Both cork and clare players contributed to a great game for sure .
To the cork people who were on a high and beating us in the sf I'm sure it's a huge disappointment but they should take a lot of encouragement from the heart shown by their team this year.
As supporters it's natural to get excited and sometimes go over the top even with expectation etc but you wouldn't be a supporter otherwise ,the wins are great and the losses hurt but isn't that the essence of sport.
I've been going to limerick games over 50 years and manys the day we left grounds deflated but looking forward to another day out.
The last 7 years we've had the best days of our lives as supporters and I'm sure this win for clare will lift the spirits in clare like has happened in limerick for the last few years .
Looking forward already to next year with cork and clare coming to the garlic grounds ."
Is it wild garlic or Chinese?

Since 2000 the All Ireland Hurling finalists have been made up of 8 counties.
Since 2000 the All Ireland Football finalists have been made up of 9 counties.

County man is a strange poster on the Wexford forum. Rathnure demise has had a massive impact on Paul.
I don't think anybody in any county bar that poster would claim Clare's All-Ireland win was tainted. It doesn't matter who beat who, once you climb those steps everything else is what aboutery.

The greatest team in history ha ha. You'll probably go down definitely as the greatest braggarts in history! We always have our 30 all Ireland's and remember that you lot were in the wilderness between 1973 and 2018."
We also had a great year, Limerick are still on a high (6 munster titles in a row) despite the begrudgery from every other county and like yourselves, we are also looking forward to the future, we are not going anywhere fast. Next year can't come quickly enough

And your correct, you do have an impressive 30 All Irelands and this can give you great comfort over the winter same as it has every year winter for the last 20 years.

It was what was said about Wexfords 2nd AI win in 1955 Exiled. He's a born and bred hurling man who is very aware of our history.

Pity will always be a tainted All Ireland. Hopefully they get the opportunity to do so next year."
very very salty. You might need some vinegar.

I hope that nobody on here confuses 'comfort' with 'complacency'. 2O YEARS is a gigantic number for the biggest county, area wise, with the most hurling clubs to go with an AI senior title.

Don't fret Cork lads, you have a good team now. It's only a matter of time.

Shure, it nearly happened Kilkenny, who went from 1887 to 1904 without a title.

And Tipperary, who went from 1971 to 1989 without winning Liam.

Outside of the BIG 3, all the rest are all lesser mortals.

Well in Fairness Ryan no Munster team has ever equalled the record of this Limerick team over a seven year period. The Cork four in a row team does not compare as they could not even win four Munsters in a row much less six and no Tipp won a four in a row even in Munster, much less outside it. To do this with a team with the Sixth Hurling Population in Ireland and about one Fifth your Hurling Population has been an achievement we can be quietly proud of.

It's a round about compliment in a way though.
The Cork mans measure of a successful season isn't winning a league, let alone Munster, not to even think about an All Ireland.
It's beating Limerick. Twice no less.

Replying To LimerickandProud:  "Second only to the self proclaimed "best fans in the world" thinking they had the All-Ireland won after beating Limerick only for Clare to put them back in their box.

Jesus if Waterford could win the All Ireland in 2025 then all the Munster hurling counties would have won an All-Ireland since Cork last won one."
Good Point. Some of them around us in Croke Park last Sunday thought the game was over after twelve minutes because they went eight points up and they accuse us of bragging. At least in the last six years we had something to brag about. You couldn't make it up.

The hurling Final got a mention in the British House of Commons today. Deservedly so. Also mention of the football final with good wishes to Armagh. Sarah Mulkerrins presents well on BBC. A Galway woman I think.
