Facile win up in Ferns 2-22 to 1-4 or so. SETU Waterford only had 5 of their starters on account of Waterford playing in the MHL. Ball was wet and heavy and not sticking too well. Hopefully Seamus Caseys injury isn't too bad he was looking sharp. Good practice for the short game, plenty of fringe players got good gametime, and got miles into the legs on a tacky surface is probably all that could be got out of that.

Kilkenny have gone with a pretty similar team as ours for their game against Carlow.

Carlow had named a strong team. Game rearranged for SETU Carlow on Tuesday. A bit of extra recovery time for the Carlow lads!!!!

Thanks for that viking. Would you have the team and some of the subs that played yesterday?

Thanks for that. A lot of younger players getting a chance. Any of the young lads stand out ?

Damien didn't play. Didn't see Cian Molloy on the pitch, and not sure if Banville or Duggan got on either, unless they went on when I was talking or being distracted by the kids!

Hard to say as such as SETU had a very weakened team. Missing 10 starters and alot of 2nd years playing. We had 11 scorers from play and were about 15 odd points up at half time. The inside forwards seemed to be trying different ways of making space that I won't say too much about. Niall Murphy and Paudie Casey were very solid. Conor Foley looked solid at fullback too. Tucker was alot more involved than last year seemed to cover more ground and was more willing to do the defensive stuff and get into contact. Jack Doran looked busy, as did Cian Byrne. Mark Byrne, Mike Kelly and Michael Dundon looked like they might add useful size and covered good ground too. We looked to be trying out several different tactics and systems of play which was very refreshing after the last couple of years. Man of the match for me was Kevin Foley. Hopefully he's back to his best for the year ahead.

As I said I wasn't at it but was told that was the team and might not be 100% correct based on what Viking was saying, all I heard was WIT were very poor but was mentioned here they were missing players.

Hopefully Kevin can rediscover his form which dropped a good bit the last 2 years at intercounty anyway, I'd say the adjustment away from being sweeper under Davy had a bit to do with that.

Good to see Mike Kelly getting a chance, we're missing height in our half back line.

The team above is correct.

Damien did play and Cian Molloy came on in the second half. You must have been distracted quite a lot. Half time scoreline was 2-18 to 1-4. Final score was about 2-28 to 1-9
