Replying To Onfor15:  "The team above is correct.

Damien did play and Cian Molloy came on in the second half. You must have been distracted quite a lot. Half time scoreline was 2-18 to 1-4. Final score was about 2-28 to 1-9"
2nd half especially. Missed the first 10 minutes or so, we had 7 points already, when did Damien go off? Great to hear Cian Molloy came on. What number was he?

Dont think Paudie will be back this year. Seen an article in the star on saturday where Keith Rossiter said Oisin Foley is struggling with a groin issue but he hopes to have him back through the league

Don't think Paudie is and they are going to be moving on without him. Dee back in around the camp again which is brilliant.

A fully fit Dee for the Championship would be absolutely massive for us.

In the same article Keith mentioned a number of players returning from injury throughout the league and also didnt rule out a return for Liam Og towards the end of the league. The only players he definitely ruled out were David Clarke and Ian Carty who are travelling. I think we the experienced players coming back over the league , good young lads coming into the squad and professional set up I am confident we can be very competitive this year

I'm very optimistic too. From all the feedback I've heard, and from what I've seen, most of the problems and criticisms from last year seem to be being addressed.

Hopefully it works out that way.

Let those lads recover properly.

Although we will need 2 or 3 results in the league to be assured of D1 status next year

It would a huge bonus if they could get 1 or both of Liam Og or Paudie Foley involved later in the year, winners write the narrative and late additions to panel's worked for both AI winners last year with Gillane only joining the Limerick panel around late Feb and this time last year Byrnes was on a 6 week break in Dubai, then with Dublin footballers Cluxton arrived back to everyone's surprise.

Always optimistic viking I'll give you that but to say all the problems from last year have been addressed before a ball has been hit in anger?Let's not get carried away yet lads and fall into the same trap as every other year.

I think getting Liam Og back would be huge. Agree entirely for someone entering the end of their careers its all about coming into championship fresh and fit ready to give it everything for hopefully 3 months before they head into the club season. Its also important we have some experienced players on the field throughout the league. We need to develop our way of playing under new management and hopefully pick up results along the way

To be sure to finish in the top 3 we will need 3 wins I'd be guessing. 2 wins could mean div1b hurling again. Or a playoff against the other 4th placed team. I still think they should call a spade a spade and call div1b div2.

Would it be a bonus really though especially in Paudies case? A 6 week break is nothing like a 2 year break when it comes to the speed and intensity of Senior Intercounty. It would be asking alot of him to be even remotely up to speed after being away so long.

I think relegation when there's a 7 team division 1 isn't as big a blow and as 2012-2017, back then when it was divisions of 6 teams it was always 3 teams ourselves, Limerick and 1 more (Clare, Dublin, Cork, Waterford, Galway different years) going for 1 spot, with 7 team divisions you'd probably something like ourselves, Waterford, Antrim, Carlow, Laois , Offaly & Westmeath going for 2 spots, if we couldn't get promoted in that division we'd have no business having ambitions of competing for Leinster's. Also there's defiantly an edge gone off the league since 2018 when the provincial round robins were introduced to the championship add in the gap between league and championship reduced since Covid.

So most of peters game on clubber. Very poor Simon Roache been the best player but apart from the free taker no one really stood out. Keeper made some good saves. It's wasn't easy to hurl on the pitch and wind favoured neither team but Offaly seemed to adjust to it better
