Replying To RHF:  "Hopefully it will be a good game and and enjoyable day out. I do fear though a good crowd of 20k will seem like no atmosphere in Croke Park.

Would there be 12k in for our game do you think?"
Maybe not at the start, but there will surely be some crossover as the ones for the next game come in. You'd be thinking that most will try catch the 2nd half at least. It's what I would do myself

There won't come within an asses roar of 20000 at these semifinals….. I think there was only 8/9000 at the league finals so I don't know where people think all this crowd will come from… we only had a little over 3500 for our home game with Down… Our game should be in Navan or somewhere there might be a bit of an atmosphere…. I fear Croke park could be an eerie spot… you need 40000 in it to be any good

You need more than 40k I think, to have a good sound there. To be fair, 3.5k for Down was at an early time of a Saturday. That's not a great time, and was for the first round of a new comp, so never getting a big crowd then. I do think some will travel Sunday, with a double header on. Sligo don't get there often, so they may well bring some. 20k is probably about right. The 2 Leinster teams will fancy taking on each other and might get the crowd up too.

Replying To ForeverBlue2:  "I don't think I ever say a goal scored at county level like Thomas Galligans in the first few seconds on Sunday…. It reminded me of something you would see at U-14 level where a big lad would catch the throw in and solo the whole way through and score….amazing it was allowed to happen at County level…. Galligan is improving with every game this season but the Jones guy I think it was should have seen red for his challenge on him ….."
Pretty much happened in the All Ireland final 2020 (McCarthy passed for Rock to palm into an open goal, but very similar score). Same with Murchan's goal in 2019 final replay.

Not the same at all.. Murchen ran onto break and Rock finished off a run… different than catching the throw in and running the whole way through to score..

Say that's about right…. 20k between the 4 teams but there will probably never be 20k in the stadium at the one time…..

You would bring Sligo to Navan ????
You are not great at geography.
You need to buy an Athlas.

Carrick on Shannon was the handiest place for both sets of supporters

It's very much the same as its very obvious what you were getting at.

You were belittling Cavan's win (as per) by saying its amazing that a 6'4, 95kg man can charge through from halfway and score a goal at County level.

It's very possible if the defence is pulled out of position.

Murchan (about 7 inches shorter and 3 stone lighter than Galligan) ran unchallenged from about 20 yards further out past more players in an all ireland final against a very good Kerry side.

So it does happen, and it is not necessarily a reflection on the quality of opposition its scored against.

Lad would be a fascinating study into cognitive bias. Just constantly see's what he wants to see and is never wrong, even when it's objectively obvious.

Lads complaining about lads complaining would be a fantastic study into irony.

You must have some sort of a problem…. I never belittled anything… just said it was unusual that's all but you seem to have a chip on your shoulder about everything…. Go watch more rugby….

Would it? Would it really?

Lads who don't understand irony holding years long grudges, across several usernames, against internet strangers are pretty curious to me. Wouldn't be worth a study though as it can just be defined as "Sad".

You have no interest or knowledge of Gaelic football in any case…. Deluded beyond repair

I'm starting to think Foreverblue must be ned_stormcrow's grandad or something. Oddly defensive of each other

Would be lovely if the Cavan panel fell out like this during the upcoming days.
No I'm only messing friendly bit of joking around. What the GAA is great for… fans coming together and having a laugh.

Every time i check in here forever blue is having a go at someone. I cant understand how some one who is such an expert in every aspect of the game bothers coming on here to wind people up. He must be nest in line for the Dublin job.

I don't wind anyone up here….. I just state the obvious but some here are so deluded and lacking in any real football knowledge so can't hack it… just keep replying with the same old nonsense about negativity… they probably never kicked a ball in their lives…..
