For all your talk about others being annoying, about keeping the board on track, you sure do like to ignore your own advice. I'll scroll past often enough. But I'll comment and take the bait the odd time on something if the thread is quiet. You're being highly ironic yourself

What is the general feeling about the match on Saturday….? I think Fermanagh will be dangerous opponents if we are not on our guard… I thought they played very well against Tyrone and gave their defenders all sorts of problems during the match…. A win would guarantee at least another day out in Croke park which can only do good…!

Hardly matter to a lad stuck at home getting updates on twitter with the tongue out ready to post here.

Doesn't take much to excite you 5allirelands… you must have been delighted with the Ulster Final…

I was actually. I loved it. You should join RTE, you'd be at home with them giving out about it ; and you can always watch the hurling with them as they appear to be obsessed with it ! !

I do like the hurling but that type of football in the Ulster final was a hard watch…. Can't understand the fear coaches have installed in players nowadays… turning back when straight in front of goals… terrible stuff but if you enjoy that type of football l admire your patience and endurance… but not for me…

Why don't yourselves add something of merit instead of moaning on what others are doing? A forum is only as good as those adding to it. I was on this forum for a long time but quit it for ages. Came back around the turn of the year as it was practically dead and tried to start a few threads to see where we are at. But the likes of yourselves need to add and engage too. At least I'm trying here... Otherwise we'd be stuck with the tomsmith threads ffs"
I second this. To be fair, there are 4 or 5 posters who literally never debate anything to do with football, all they do is whine and complain about, you wait for it.....people whining and complaining. The hypocrisy is galling.

Your 100% correct there. I watched the Ulster final at home and must have left the room 20 times during the game because of the negative backward stuff, with Donegal in particular afraid to go for it. I even text an ex Donegal player who was at the match and his reply was "waste of time"
It was only the closeness of the scoreboard that made it kinda exciting , not the quality of the football.
That was dire.
Coaches have a lot to answer too. Just look at what Paddy Tally has done to Kerry . He's destroyed good attacking footballers with his defensive sh@@e.

I hope Cavan are up for this as Fermanagh surely will. For the first time in their history they have a chance of winning a senior championship final and if they get over Cavan they will then be favourites for this so this will be a huge incentive for them. Man for man we are much better than them but this counts for nothing if we dont perform on the day or get a few black cards and get dragged into a dogfight. It could be huge for Cavan football going forward to play in Croke park on three occassions and win two finals. Come on lads.

I would say they are too young to be allowed in pubs.
I think they must be about 14 or 15.

And I'd say you are too mean to go into a pub… You certainly would have no business talking about football if you did go in …leave that to us in the know that's a good chap…

Strong team named again. Same as named last week, so still no Moynagh (is he injured?). I'd expect Ciaran Holla to come in for Cormac O'Reilly like last week too. Good we're going at it, we need to be tuned in and strong from the start.

Very comfortable win in the end… A bit shaky at the end of the first half with Fermanagh letting us of the hook with all their wides… Thomas Galligan stood out when others were struggling… Roll on the semifinals

Got the win, which is what mattered. Tough battle as you'd expect there. Can't ever recall a win by that much against them at home recently. In the draw for tomorrow, and a visit to Croker in 2 weeks. Good to see some changes made pre game, and then have some options to bring on. Couple of selection headaches which is what's needed. Discipline something to look at, but no surprise that in a local Derby. Good to see likes of Galligan put on a big game. We need that. On to the next one, where we'll have another tricky one, but still would think the lads can power on.
