Replying To LackenQuality79:  "An absolutely pathetic performance today. I've said it here several times, surely we have better players available? We are afraid to kick ball into the full forward line because the players know we haven't the ball winners or bravery inside. I'm very nervous about what could happen in London next weekend!"
A very negative post.

Loghduff lad and co. will be along any moment now to put a stop to the negativity.

A pathetic performance.., Had so many goal chances.. Why did Garoid Mc Kiernan not pass the ball and make 100% sure of the goal when we were only 3pts behind…. ? Had he done so we would have won pulling up… that's what separates really good players from mediocre ones… All is not lost yet but this result shows how far we have fallen in the last 2/3 years…

Poor performance today. G Mac didn't have his best day today, but has been Cavan's best player all year for me, he was also well marked by the tipp lads. The difference for me today was the styles of play, good forwards like Sweeney find a yard of space when there's early ball kicked in and defensively Cavan were man to man. Cavan with the exception of Kiernan and Moynagh don't seem to look to kick the ball into the inside forward line. I actually thought the two lads inside played well, made endless runs and won plenty of ball when it was let in even with tipp playing sweepers. The transition was far too slow, we let tipp set up defensively every time we got a turnover.

I don't know who else you would have in there. Looking at the club championship I think you had two of the most impressive forwards starting inside today in lynch and Reilly. The reluctance to kick the ball in has been an issue for a few years now. I have a feeling some of it stems from stats being very important in the modern game and it's easier to complete a five yard handpass than kicking the ball inside.

Too many players head down soloing or going sideways handpassing. Kerry last night kicked quick inside ball into Clifford and he will the damage.

I don't know if its the influence of Ryan McMenamin but far too slow in approach. Though Cavan were before he arrived also

That was coming lets be honest about it. Yes we have been winning games, but we have not been going well, there is only so often you can keep winning ugly before it will catch up on you. Tipp were the first half decent team we faced and we were found out.
When Gearoid is well marshaled we struggle for scores, lads are chipping in with a point here and a point there but we have no out and out scoring forward who will get you 4 or 5 points consistently.
The whole league has been very underwhelming to say the least, We just look like such a poor outfit. I would love to know what is happening on in the training ground. Mickey comes out at every game and talks about the silly mistakes that need to be addressed. Its week 5 and we are getting worse every week.

Antrim are going well in DIvision 3 also. Cavan will find it a tough game wherever it is played. Enda McGinley is doing a job there. Some were dismissing Antrim as soon as the draw was made.

Lets face it, Cavan are no Kerry. Struggling all year. Perhaps another year in D4 might help eliminate the stupid mistakes. Will be found out yet again in D3 next season if they are promoted.

Clueless is the word to describe that performance, looks like Tipp figured out Cavan mark Mc Kieranan and bunch up the defence leave a couple of forwards up and victory. Back to the going over and back and going no where, at one stage of the game I was wondering did the Cavan players know what goals they were playing into. Hopefully we get a few players back from there discipline ban and add a bit of dept to the panel

I'm afraid that was an abysmal 2nd half show today. No excuses, simply not good enough from players and management. A junior B club team would have more of an idea how to use the wind to get a few scores. Whoever is coaching our attack needs to be moved along.

Cavan went from Division 1 to 4 so weren't learning much in those years.

8 scores in 80+ minutes of Division 4 football.

Who is our forwards coach? What is he at?

They all went ga ga over winning 4 Ulster u21 titles in a row but the way those teams were coached to win those titles has now come back to haunt Cavan football…. No scoring forwards have come from that group apart from Garoid which is scandalous… Those who coached those teams to win largely meaningless titles should hold their heads in shame… To be only able to register 1-7 at home in a Div 4 game is truly embarrassing….

Shocking negativity on display in this comment. Very disappointing to see, especially at a time when Cavan GAA needs positivity.

Presume that comment is a joke or a bit of a bait.

We are playing brutal and not showing anything to be positive to be about against the worst teams in the country!

listening to the two on northern sound commentary each sunday they havent got a clue they dont appear to know that we are playing in division 4 on about great performances in the previous three matches when in reality we struggeled to win all three and any one of them could have gone the other way. With 8 minutes to go against Carlow who sligo beat by about 20 points the week before we were only winning by three points and had a man red carded but listening to the two you would think it was kerry we were playing.
