Replying To Ronan1989:  "Losing Murphy and McGee was too much of an ask. Lots of players didnt show up, McMenamin and McFadden-Ferry are not up to standard really.

Bonner has to go unfortunately.

Dublin/Kerry/Mayo/Mongahan/Armagh would have beaten us by 10/15 points.

Monagahan V Kerry will be a tight Semi:p"
Ah here give your head a shake will ya. The team were right in it up until the Langan missed free and then the tanks were empty. I thought OMFF done ok today. Both himself and McMenamin have proved themselves to be more than up to it. The same cannot be said of McMenamin's body where no doubt injuries are hampering his progress. OMFF has had very little football which hasn't helped.

The 10/15 scores, is that points or goals?

Missed penalty and red card huge turning points. Punishing conditions for 14 men chasing the game, nothing left to give in last 10 minutes. Tyrone good enough to take advantage and finished up emphatic winners. Looking forward to a great final, another 50:50 contest.

A great win for Tyrone but a tough loss for Donegal. Very hard to play with 14 players under the blistering heat. Donegal fought hard and too many injuries. On Tyrone so many writing them off after the league but they are a proud county and showed it today. Murphy Big loss but hats of to Tyrone.

Replying To joeteor:  "Tyrone comfortable enough winners in the end. Another non performance from Bonners side in a big KO game. Must be time for a change."
That wasn't a non performance. I get you're probably anti Bonner which is another argument but in saying a non performance you're letting those feelings cloud your opinion.

Donegal we're out on their feet at that stage having played almost 40 minutes with 14 men. They were running on empty with nothing left to give. Tyrone beginning to look good again and can look forward to big days ahead .

Tyrone and Conor McKenna were an absolute revelation today.

Close game until last few minutes. As a Tyrone fan, I was worried for most of the game.

After another tight game in Ulster, can the anti provincial c'ship brigade kindly put a sock in it. Plenty of teams in Ulster want to win it, and want an Ulster championship a lot more than they'll ever want a grade 2 all Ireland.

Congrats to Tyrone on getting to a Ulster final. It was just one of those days from a Donegal perspective from the poor penalty miss to the red card. I didn't think it was a penalty in any case and both cards were merited even if the second was a yellow not a black. I thought Donegal did show good character to stay in the game and I think it might've been a different result if we had our full quota. Of course there will be lots of discussion about the management who I would like to thank on their efforts and success in Ulster. I think it is probably time for a change. The next manager will really need to be able to tap into the minds of these players as there certainly is a softness there.

Ronan1989s golden rule, never praise your opposition when your beat.

The decision to play Murphy against a weak Down side was ultimately disastrous. It was sad to see this colossus, possibly the best player of the last decade, hobbling around only half-fit. Losing Magee was another huge blow to Donegal. Tyrone made hard work of it considering they had the extra man for such a long time. Final too close to call, but neither side are serious contenders for Sam, and an Ulster title is a reasonable aspiration

It should have been 10 goals but Tyrone were shocking at finishing.

Tyrone deserved the victory (albeit against a team with a player less and a player who is their talisman) but Monaghan with the emotion behind them and ability to score goals will have nothing to fear against this Tyrone team. I am just being honest.

Well for all the talk about him, it's about time he won his first championship game!

Good win essmac, you have a point about Tyrone playing better with 14 men. They should cut down on the fouls though.

Would agree with all of that. Murphy should have been bo where near the down game. They shouldn't have had to rely on him to beat down. If tyrone win ulster which will be very close then I would be very happy this year. No one bar maybe kerry will touch the dubs.

Fantastic win for Tyrone. Hard luck Donegal.

Tyrone better team. We bottled up Paddy McB and McHugh. Murphy wasnt playing well before red card. O'Donnell marked out of it as well.

Tyrone's bench very strong. McKenna, McShane, Canavan not fit to start which I was concerned about. Didn't matter.

McGeary excellent. Meyler I thought was excellent again.

Bonnet gone I'd say. Another huge defeat for Donegal.

Dare I say…….Jim McGuiness to come back??

Well done Tyrone, better team overall as the game panned out. Losing Murphy and Mc Gee was huge and being reduced to 14 men in that heat was the lethal injection.
Should be a good final. Monaghan have struggled more with Tyrone than Donegal in recent times so can't really call it.

Well done Tyrone. Very accurate and kicked brilliantly throughout. Smart fouling in the last 15 minutes. Should beat Monaghan for me.

The penalty miss was huge for us. 5 points up and that's a different game. Clinical teams take those chances. Murphy shouldn't have started as clearly unfit. Some excellent performances for us and battled hard with 14 men for so long. Bonner a great servant but the soft centre remains, a step-up needed now in terms of management quality or progress will be difficult.
