Was in Parnell earlier and would really encourage some people on here and on Facebook to make an effort to attend games before commenting. As someone who's based in Dublin I wasn't surprised that it was close. I mentioned last year how I was shocked at what I heard about what Wexford clubs were doing and how clubs in Dublin would be doing way more in both hurling and football. Obviously with huge numbers in some clubs. Kilmacud are bringing 600 kids to Wexford Park tomorrow and playing games in clubs all over Wexford in the morning. I suggest if they are at your club you go watch the games and see how your club matches up against Crokes at under 10/12/14. Are the Wexford clubs bringing 100s of kids to games tomorrow? In terms of the match, Wexfords attacking play was poor but some of the backs were excellent. Dublin play a system which is similar to their seniors and 20s. In my opinion, it starts in the schools, I have some friends who are teachers good hurling lads and their telling me the standard of coaching coming fron some of the GPO in school is shocking. Last year in the u16 Championship Martins and Harriers were so brimming with talent that they won 1 game between them in the entire Championship, that the game where they played eachother, and finished with a collective points difference of - (MINUS) 112 (ONE HUNDRED AND TWELVE). Says it all as regards how we are viewed by the media if they think a quarter final would be good for us.
